Read Lamentations 3
1 EMI ni ọkunrin na ti o ti ri wàhala nipa ọpa ibinu rẹ̀.
1 I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
2 O ti fà mi, o si mu mi wá sinu òkunkun, kì si iṣe sinu imọlẹ.
2 He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light.
3 Lõtọ, o yi ọwọ rẹ̀ pada si mi siwaju ati siwaju li ọjọ gbogbo.
3 Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.
4 O ti sọ ẹran-ara mi ati àwọ mi di ogbó, o ti fọ́ egungun mi.
4 My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.
5 O ti mọdi tì mi, o fi orõrò ati ãrẹ̀ yi mi ka.
5 He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.
6 O ti fi mi si ibi òkunkun, bi awọn ti o ti kú pẹ.
6 He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.
7 O ti sọgba yi mi ka, ti emi kò le jade; o ti ṣe ẹ̀wọn mi wuwo
7 He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.
8 Bi emi ti kigbe pẹlu, ti emi si npariwo, o sé adura mi mọ.
8 Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.
9 O ti fi okuta gbigbẹ sọgba yi ọ̀na mi ka, o ti yi ipa ọ̀na mi po.
9 He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.
10 On jẹ bi ẹranko beari ti o ba dè mi, bi kiniun ni ibi ìkọkọ.
10 He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.
11 O ti mu mi ṣina li ọ̀na mi, o si fà mi ya pẹrẹpẹrẹ: o ti sọ mi di ahoro.
11 He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.
12 O ti fà ọrun rẹ̀, o si fi mi ṣe itasi fun ọfa rẹ̀.
12 He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
13 O ti mu ki ọfà apó rẹ̀ wọ inu-ẹdọ mi lọ.
13 He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
14 Emi jẹ ẹni ẹsin fun gbogbo enia mi; orin wọn ni gbogbo ọjọ.
14 I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.
15 O ti fi ìkoro mu mi yo, o ti mu mi mu omi wahala.
15 He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.
16 O ti fi ọta ṣẹ́ ehín mi, o tẹ̀ mi mọlẹ ninu ẽru.
16 He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.
17 Iwọ si ti mu ọkàn mi jina réré si alafia; emi gbagbe rere.
17 And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.
18 Emi si wipe, Agbara mi ati ireti mi ṣègbe kuro lọdọ Oluwa.
18 And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:
19 Ranti wahala mi ati inilara mi, ani ìkoro ati orõro.
19 Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
20 Lõtọ, nigbati ọkàn mi nṣe iranti wọn, o si tẹriba ninu mi.
20 My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
21 Eyi ni emi o rò li ọkàn mi, nitorina emi o ma reti.
21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 Ãnu Oluwa ni, ti awa kò parun tan, nitori irọnu-ãnu rẹ kò li opin.
22 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 Ọtun ni li orowurọ; titobi ni otitọ rẹ.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 Oluwa ni ipin mi, bẹ̃li ọkàn mi wi; nitorina ni emi ṣe reti ninu rẹ̀.
24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 Oluwa ṣe rere fun gbogbo ẹniti o duro dè e, fun ọkàn ti o ṣafẹri rẹ̀.
25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 O dara ti a ba mã reti ni idakẹjẹ fun igbala Oluwa.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
27 O dara fun ọkunrin, ki o gbe àjaga ni igba-ewe rẹ̀.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
28 Ki o joko on nikan, ki o si dakẹ, nitori Ọlọrun ti gbe e le ori rẹ̀.
28 He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.
29 Ki o fi ẹnu rẹ̀ sinu ẽkuru; pe bọya ireti le wà:
29 He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.
30 Ki o fi ẹ̀rẹkẹ fun ẹniti o lù u; ki o kún fun ẹ̀gan patapata.
30 He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.
31 Nitoriti Oluwa kì yio ṣá ni tì lailai:
31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
32 Bi o tilẹ mu ibanujẹ wá, sibẹ on o ni irọnu gẹgẹ bi ọ̀pọlọpọ ãnu rẹ̀.
32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
33 Nitori on kì ifẹ ipọn-ni-loju lati ọkàn rẹ̀ wá, bẹ̃ni kì ibà ọmọ enia ninu jẹ.
33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
34 Lati tẹ̀ gbogbo ara-tubu ilẹ-aiye mọlẹ li abẹ ẹsẹ rẹ̀.
34 To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
35 Lati yi ẹ̀tọ enia sapakan niwaju Ọga-ogo julọ.
35 To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,
36 Lati yi ọ̀ran idajọ enia pada, Oluwa kò fẹ ri i?
36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.
37 Tali ẹniti iwi, ti isi iṣẹ, nigbati Oluwa kò paṣẹ rẹ̀.
37 Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
38 Ibi ati rere kò ha njade lati ẹnu Ọga-ogo-julọ wá?
38 Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
39 Ẽṣe ti enia alãye nkùn? ti o wà lãye, ki olukuluku ki o kùn nitori ẹ̀ṣẹ rẹ̀!
39 Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
40 Jẹ ki a wádi, ki a si dán ọ̀na wa wò, ki a si tun yipada si Oluwa.
40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
41 Jẹ ki a gbe ọkàn ati ọwọ wa soke si Ọlọrun li ọrun.
41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
42 Awa ti dẹṣẹ, a si ti ṣọtẹ: iwọ kò ti dariji.
42 We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.
43 Iwọ ti fi ibinu bora, o si ṣe inunibini si wa: iwọ ti pa, o kò si ti dasi.
43 Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.
44 Iwọ ti fi awọsanma bo ara rẹ, ki adura má le là kọja.
44 Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.
45 Iwọ ti ṣe wa bi idarọ ati ohun alainilãri li ãrin awọn orilẹ-ède.
45 Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people.
46 Gbogbo awọn ọta wa ti ya ẹnu wọn si wa.
46 All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
47 Ẹ̀ru ati ọ̀fin wá sori wa, idahoro ati iparun.
47 Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.
48 Oju mi fi odò omi ṣan silẹ, nitori iparun ọmọbinrin awọn enia mi.
48 Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49 Oju mi dà silẹ ni omije, kò si dá, laiṣe isimi.
49 Mine eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission,
50 Titi Oluwa fi wò ilẹ, ti o wò lati ọrun wá,
50 Till the LORD look down, and behold from heaven.
51 Oju mi npọn ọkàn mi loju, nitori gbogbo awọn ọmọbinrin ilu mi.
51 Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.
52 Awọn ọta mi dẹkùn fun mi gidigidi, gẹgẹ bi fun ẹiyẹ laini idi.
52 Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.
53 Nwọn ti ke ẹmi mi kuro ninu iho, nwọn si yi okuta sori mi.
53 They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.
54 Nwọn mu omi ṣan lori mi; emi wipe, Mo gbe!
54 Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.
55 Emi kepe orukọ rẹ, Oluwa, lati iho jijin wá.
55 I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon.
56 Iwọ ti gbọ́ ohùn mi: máṣe se eti rẹ mọ si imikanlẹ mi, si igbe mi.
56 Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.
57 Iwọ sunmọ itosi li ọjọ ti emi kigbe pè ọ: iwọ wipe: Má bẹ̀ru!
57 Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
58 Oluwa, iwọ ti gba ijà mi jà; iwọ ti rà ẹmi mi pada.
58 O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
59 Oluwa, iwọ ti ri inilara mi, ṣe idajọ ọran mi!
59 O LORD, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.
60 Iwọ ti ri gbogbo igbẹsan wọn, gbogbo èro buburu wọn si mi.
60 Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me.
61 Iwọ ti gbọ́ ẹ̀gan wọn, Oluwa, gbogbo èro buburu wọn si mi.
61 Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations against me;
62 Ète awọn wọnni ti o dide si mi, ati ipinnu wọn si mi ni gbogbo ọjọ.
62 The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.
63 Kiyesi ijoko wọn ati idide wọn! emi ni orin-ẹsin wọn.
63 Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick.
64 San ẹsan fun wọn, Oluwa, gẹgẹ bi iṣẹ ọwọ wọn!
64 Render unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.
65 Fun wọn ni ifọju ọkàn, ègun rẹ lori wọn!
65 Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.
66 Fi ibinu lepa wọn, ki o si pa wọn run kuro labẹ ọrun Oluwa!
66 Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.
