Read Job 5

1 NJẸ pè nisisiyi! bi ẹnikan ba wà ti yio da ọ lohùn, tabi tani ninu awọn ẹni-mimọ́ ti iwọ o wò?

1 Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?

2 Nitoripe ibinu pa alaimoye, irúnu a si pa òpe enia.

2 For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.

3 Emi ti ri alaimoye ti o ta gbongbò mulẹ̀, ṣugbọn lojukanna mo fi ibujoko rẹ̀ bú.

3 I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.

4 Awọn ọmọ rẹ̀ kò jina sinu ewu, a si tẹ̀ wọn mọlẹ loju ibode, bẹ̃ni kò si alãbò kan.

4 His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.

5 Ikore oko ẹniti awọn ẹniti ebi npa jẹrun, ti nwọn si wọnú ẹ̀gun lọ ikó, awọn igara si gbe ohùn ini wọn mì.

5 Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.

6 Bi ipọnju kò tilẹ̀ tinu erupẹ jade wá nì, ti iyọnu kò si tinu ilẹ hù jade wá.

6 Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;

7 Ṣugbọn a bi enia sinu wàhala, gẹgẹ bi ìpẹpẹ iná ti ima ta sokè.

7 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

8 Sọdọ Ọlọrun li emi lè ma ṣe awári, li ọwọ Ọlọrun li emi lè ma fi ọ̀ran mi le.

8 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:

9 Ẹniti o ṣe ohun ti o tobi, ti a kò lè iṣe awári, ohun iyanu laini iye.

9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:

10 Ti nrọ̀jo si ilẹ aiye, ti o si nrán omi sinu ilẹ̀kilẹ.

10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:

11 Lati gbe awọn onirẹlẹ leke, ki a le igbé awọn ẹni ibinujẹ ga si ibi ailewu.

11 To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.

12 O yi ìmọ awọn alarekerekè po, bẹ̃li ọwọ wọn kò lè imu idawọle wọn ṣẹ.

12 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.

13 O mu awọn ọlọgbọ́n ninu arekereke ara wọn, ati ìmọ awọn onroro li o tãri ṣubu li ògedengbè.

13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.

14 Nwọn sure wọ inu òkunkun li ọ̀san, nwọn si nfọwọ talẹ̀ li ọ̀sangangan bi ẹnipe li oru.

14 They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night.

15 Ṣugbọn o gba talakà là kuro li ọwọ idà, lọwọ ẹnu wọn, ati lọwọ awọn alagbara.

15 But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

16 Bẹ̃ni abá wà fun talaka, aiṣotitọ si pa ẹnu rẹ̀ mọ.

16 So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.

17 Kiyesi i, ibukún ni fun ẹniti Ọlọrun bawi, nitorina má ṣe gan ìbawi Olodumare.

17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

18 Nitoripe on a mu ni lara kan, a si di idi itura, o ṣa lọgbẹ, ọwọ rẹ̀ a si mu jina.

18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.

19 Yio gbà ọ ninu ipọnju mẹfa, ani ninu meje ibi kan kì yio ba ọ.

19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

20 Ninu ìyan yio gbà ọ lọwọ ikú, ati ninu ogun yio gbà ọ lọwọ idà.

20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.

21 A o pa ọ mọ kuro lọwọ ìna ahọn, bẹ̃ni iwọ kì yio bẹ̀ru iparun nigbati o ba dé.

21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.

22 Ẹrin iparun ati ti iyàn ni iwọ o rín, bẹ̃ni iwọ kì yio bẹ̀ru ẹranko ilẹ aiye.

22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

23 Nitoripe iwọ o ba okuta ìgbẹ mulẹ̀, awọn ẹranko ìgbẹ yio wà pẹlu rẹ li alafia.

23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

24 Iwọ o si mọ̀ pe alafia ni ibujoko rẹ wà, iwọ o si ma ṣe ibẹ̀wo ibujoko rẹ, iwọ kì yio ṣìna.

24 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.

25 Iwọ o si mọ̀ pẹlu pe iru-ọmọ rẹ yio si pọ̀, ati awọn ọmọ-ọmọ rẹ yio ri bi koriko ìgbẹ.

25 Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.

26 Iwọ o wọ isa-okú rẹ lọ li ògbologbo ọjọ bi apo-ọka ti o gbó, ti a si nko ni igbà ikore rẹ̀.

26 Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.

27 Kiyesi i, awa ti nwadi rẹ̀, bẹ̃li o ri! gbà a gbọ́, ki o si mọ̀ pe fun ire ara rẹ ni!

27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
