1 Ọ̀RỌ ti o tọ̀ Jeremiah wá lati ọdọ Oluwa wá, wipe.

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Bayi li Oluwa, Ọlọrun Israeli wi, pe, Iwọ kọ gbogbo ọ̀rọ ti mo ti ba ọ sọ sinu iwe kan.

2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

3 Nitori kiyesi i, ọjọ mbọ, li Oluwa wi, ti emi o mu igbekun awọn enia mi, Israeli ati Juda, pada, li Oluwa wi: emi o si mu ki nwọn pada bọ̀ si ilẹ ti emi fi fun awọn baba wọn, nwọn o si ni i.

3 For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

4 Wọnyi si li ọ̀rọ ti Oluwa sọ niti Israeli ati niti Juda.

4 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

5 Nitori bayi li Oluwa wi; Awa ti gbọ́ ohùn ìwa-riri, ẹ̀ru, kì si iṣe ti alafia.

5 For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

6 Ẹnyin sa bere, ki ẹ si ri bi ọkunrin a mã rọbi ọmọ: Ẽṣe ti emi fi ri gbogbo awọn ọkunrin pẹlu ọwọ wọn li ẹgbẹ wọn, bi obinrin ti nrọbi, ti a si sọ gbogbo oju di jijoro?

6 Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

7 Oṣe! nitori ọjọ na tobi, tobẹ̃ ti kò si ọkan bi iru rẹ̀: o jẹ àkoko wahala fun Jakobu; sibẹ a o gbà a kuro ninu rẹ̀.

7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

8 Yio si ṣe li ọjọ na, li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi, ti emi o si ṣẹ àjaga kuro li ọrùn rẹ, emi o si ja ìde rẹ, awọn alejo kì yio si mu ọ sìn wọn mọ:

8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

9 Ṣugbọn nwọn o ma sin Oluwa Ọlọrun wọn, ati Dafidi ọba wọn, ẹniti emi o gbe kalẹ fun wọn.

9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

10 Njẹ nisisiyi, má bẹ̀ru, iwọ Jakobu, ọmọ-ọdọ mi, li Oluwa wi; ki o má si fòya, iwọ Israeli: nitorina sa wò o, emi o gbà ọ lati okere wá, ati iru-ọmọ rẹ lati igbekun wọn; Jakobu yio si pada, yio si wà ni isimi, yio si gbe jẹ, ẹnikan kì yio si dẹruba a.

10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

11 Nitori emi wà pẹlu rẹ, li Oluwa wi, lati gbà ọ: bi emi tilẹ ṣe ipari patapata ni gbogbo orilẹ-ède, nibiti emi ti tu ọ ka si, sibẹ emi kì yio ṣe ọ pari patapata: ṣugbọn emi o ba ọ wi ni ìwọn, emi kì o jọ̃ rẹ lọwọ li alaijiya.

11 For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

12 Nitori bayi li Oluwa wi, Ifarapa rẹ jẹ aiwotan, ọgbẹ rẹ si jẹ aijina.

12 For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

13 Kò si ẹniti o gba ọ̀ran rẹ rò, lati dì i, ọja imularada kò si.

13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

14 Gbogbo awọn olufẹ rẹ ti gbagbe rẹ; nwọn kò tẹle ọ; nitori ìlù ọta li emi o lù ọ, ni inà alaini ãnu, nitori ọ̀pọlọpọ aiṣedede rẹ, nitori ẹ̀ṣẹ rẹ pọ si i,

14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

15 Ẽṣe ti iwọ nkigbe nitori ifarapa rẹ? ikãnu rẹ jẹ aiwotan, nitori ọ̀pọlọpọ aiṣedede rẹ; ẹ̀ṣẹ rẹ si pọ̀ si i, nitorina ni emi ti ṣe ohun wọnyi si ọ.

15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

16 Nitorina gbogbo awọn ti o jẹ ọ, li a o jẹ; ati gbogbo awọn ọta rẹ, olukuluku wọn, ni yio lọ si igbekun: ati awọn ti o kó ọ yio di kikó, ati gbogbo awọn ti o fi ọ ṣe ijẹ li emi o fi fun ijẹ.

16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

17 Nitori emi o fi ọja imularada lè ọ, emi o si wò ọgbẹ rẹ san, li Oluwa wi; nitori nwọn pè ọ li ẹniti a le jade; Sioni, ti ẹnikan kò ṣafẹri rẹ̀!

17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

18 Bayi li Oluwa wi; Wò o, emi o tun mu igbekun agọ Jakobu pada bọ̀; emi o si ṣãnu fun ibugbe rẹ̀; a o si kọ́ ilu na sori okiti rẹ̀, a o si ma gbe ãfin gẹgẹ bi ilana rẹ̀.

18 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.

19 Ati lati inu wọn ni ọpẹ́ ati ohùn awọn ti nyọ̀ yio ti jade: emi o si mu wọn bi si i, nwọn kì o si jẹ diẹ; emi o ṣe wọn li ogo pẹlu, nwọn kì o si kere.

19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

20 Awọn ọmọ wọn pẹlu yio ri bi ti iṣaju, ijọ wọn li a o fi idi rẹ̀ mulẹ niwaju mi, emi o si jẹ gbogbo awọn ti o ni wọn lara niya.

20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

21 Ọlọla rẹ̀ yio si jẹ lati inu ara wọn wá, alakoso rẹ̀ lati ãrin rẹ̀; emi o si mu u sunmọ tosi, on o si sunmọ ọdọ mi: nitori tani ẹniti o mura ọkàn rẹ̀ lati sunmọ ọdọ mi? li Oluwa wi.

21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.

22 Ẹnyin o si jẹ enia mi, emi o si jẹ Ọlọrun nyin.

22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

23 Wò o, afẹfẹ iji Oluwa! ibinu ti jade! afẹyika ìji yio ṣubu ni ikanra si ori oluṣe-buburu.

23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.

24 Ibinu kikan Oluwa kì o pada, titi on o fi ṣe e, ati titi on o fi mu èro ọkàn rẹ̀ ṣẹ: li ọjọ ikẹhin ẹnyin o mọ̀ ọ daju.

24 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
