1 NJẸ Paṣuri, ọmọ Immeri, alufa, ti iṣe olori olutọju ni ile Oluwa, gbọ́ pe, Jeremiah sọ asọtẹlẹ ohun wọnyi.
1 Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who was also chief governor in the house of the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things.
2 Nigbana ni Paṣuri lù Jeremiah, woli, o si kàn a li àba ti o wà ni ẹnu-ọ̀na Benjamini, ti o wà li òke ti o wà lẹba ile Oluwa.
2 Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD.
3 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magor-missabib.
4 Nitori bayi li Oluwa wi, sa wò o, emi o fi ọ le idãmu lọwọ, pẹlu gbogbo awọn ọrẹ rẹ, nwọn o ṣubu nipa idà awọn ọta wọn, oju rẹ yio si ri i, emi o si fi gbogbo Juda le ọwọ ọba Babeli, on o si mu wọn lọ ni igbèkun si Babeli, yio si fi idà pa wọn.
4 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.
5 Pẹlupẹlu emi o fi ọrọ̀ ilu yi, pẹlu ẽre rẹ̀ ati ohun iyebiye rẹ̀, ati gbogbo iṣura awọn ọba Juda li emi o fi le ọwọ awọn ọta wọn, ti yio jẹ wọn ti yio si mu wọn lọ si Babeli.
5 Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.
6 Ati iwọ, Paṣuri, ati gbogbo awọn ti o ngbe inu ile rẹ ni yio lọ si igbekun, iwọ o wá si Babeli, ati nibẹ ni iwọ o kú si, a o si sin ọ sibẹ, iwọ ati gbogbo ọrẹ rẹ ti iwọ ti sọ asọtẹlẹ eke fun.
6 And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies.
7 Oluwa, iwọ ti fi ọ̀rọ rọ̀ mi, emi si gba rirọ̀! iwọ li agbara jù mi lọ, o si bori mi; emi di ẹni iyọ-ṣuti-si lojojumọ, gbogbo wọn ni ngàn mi!
7 O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.
8 Nitori lati igba ti mo ti sọ̀rọ, emi kigbe, mo ke, Iwa-agbara, ati iparun, nitori a sọ ọ̀rọ Oluwa di ohun ẹ̀gan ati itiju fun mi lojojumọ.
8 For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.
9 Nitorina mo si wipe, emi kì yio mu ni ranti rẹ̀, emi kì yio si sọ ọ̀rọ li orukọ rẹ̀ mọ́. Ṣugbọn ọ̀rọ rẹ̀ mbẹ bi iná ti njó ninu mi ti a se mọ inu egungun mi, o si rẹ̀ mi lati pa a mọra, emi kò le ṣe e.
9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.
10 Nitoriti mo gbọ́ ẹgan ọ̀pọlọpọ, idãmu niha gbogbo, nwọn wipe: fi sùn, awa o si fi sùn. Gbogbo awọn ọrẹ mi, ati gbogbo awọn ẹgbẹ mi wipe: bọya a o tãn jẹ, awa o si ṣẹgun rẹ̀, a o si gbẹsan wa lara rẹ̀.
10 For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.
11 Ṣugbọn Oluwa mbẹ lọdọ mi bi akọni ẹlẹrù, nitorina awọn ti nṣe inunibini si mi yio ṣubu, nwọn kì yio le bori: oju yio tì wọn gidigidi, nitoripe nwọn kì o ṣe rere: a ki yio gbagbe itiju wọn lailai!
11 But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.
12 Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun, iwọ ti ndán olododo wò, iwọ si ri inu ati ọkàn, emi o ri ẹsan rẹ lara wọn: nitoriti mo ti fi ọ̀ran mi le ọ lọwọ!
12 But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.
13 Ẹ kọrin si Oluwa, ẹ yìn Oluwa, nitoriti o ti gbà ọkàn talaka kuro lọwọ awọn oluṣe buburu.
13 Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.
14 Egbe ni fun ọjọ na ti a bi mi! ọjọ na ti iya mi bi mi, ki o má ri ibukun!
14 Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.
15 Egbe ni fun ọkunrin na ti o mu ihìn tọ̀ baba mi wá, wipe, Ọmọkunrin li a bi fun ọ; o mu u yọ̀.
15 Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad.
16 Ki ọkunrin na ki o si dabi ilu wọnni ti Oluwa ti bì ṣubu, li aiyi ọkàn pada, ki o si gbọ́ ẹkun li owurọ, ati ọ̀fọ li ọsangangan.
16 And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide;
17 Nitoriti kò pa mi ni inu iya mi, tobẹ̃ ki iya mi di isà mi, ki o loyun mi lailai.
17 Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me.
18 Ẽṣe ti emi fi jade kuro ninu iya mi, lati ri irora ati oṣi, ati lati pari ọjọ mi ni itiju?
18 Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?
