¹ BAYI li Oluwa wi, Lọ, rà igo amọ ti amọkoko, si mu ninu awọn àgba enia, ati awọn àgba alufa;

¹ Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;

² Ki o si lọ si afonifoji ọmọ Hinnomu ti o wà niwaju ẹnu-bode Harsiti, nibẹ ni ki o si kede gbogbo ọ̀rọ ti emi o sọ fun ọ.

² And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee,

³ Ki o si wipe, Ẹ gbọ́ ọ̀rọ Oluwa, ẹnyin ọba Juda, ati olugbe Jerusalemu; Bayi li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun, Ọlọrun Israeli, wi: sa wò o, emi o mu ibi wá sihin yi, eyiti eti gbogbo awọn ti o ba gbọ́ ọ, yio ho.

³ And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

⁴ Nitori nwọn ti kọ̀ mi silẹ, nwọn ti sọ ihín yi di iyapa, nwọn si ti sun turari ninu rẹ̀ fun awọn ọlọrun miran, eyiti awọn, tabi awọn baba wọn kò mọ̀ ri, tabi awọn ọba Juda, nwọn si ti fi ẹ̀jẹ alaiṣẹ kún ibi yi;

⁴ Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;

⁵ Nwọn ti kọ́ ibi giga fun Baali pẹlu, lati fi iná sun ọmọkunrin wọn, bi ẹbọ-ọrẹ sisun fun Baali, eyiti emi kò pa laṣẹ lati ṣe, ti emi kò si sọ, tabi ti kò si ru soke ninu mi:

⁵ They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:

⁶ Nitorina, sa wò o, ọjọ mbọ̀, li Oluwa wi, a kì yio pe orukọ ibi yi ni Tofeti mọ, tabi afonifoji ọmọ Hinnomu, ṣugbọn Afonifoji ipakupa.

⁶ Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.

⁷ Emi o sọ igbimọ Juda ati Jerusalemu di asan ni ibi yi; emi o mu ki nwọn ki o ṣubu niwaju ọta wọn, ati lọwọ awọn ti o nwá ẹmi wọn, okú wọn ni a o fi fun ẹiyẹ oju-ọrun, ati ẹranko ilẹ fun onjẹ.

⁷ And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

⁸ Emi o si sọ ilu yi di ahoro, ati ẹ̀gan, ẹnikẹni ti o ba nkọja lọ nibẹ yio dãmu, yio si poṣe nitori gbogbo ìna rẹ̀.

⁸ And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof.

⁹ Emi o si mu ki nwọn ki o jẹ ẹran-ara awọn ọmọkunrin wọn, ati ẹran-ara awọn ọmọbinrin wọn, ati ẹnikini wọn yio jẹ ẹran-ara ẹnikẹji ni igba idoti ati ihamọ, ti awọn ọta wọn, ati awọn ti o nwá ẹmi wọn yio ha wọn mọ.

⁹ And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.

¹⁰ Nigbana ni iwọ o fọ igo na li oju awọn ti o ba ọ lọ.

¹⁰ Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,

¹¹ Ki o si wi fun wọn pe, Bayi li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi: Bẹ̃ gẹgẹ li emi o fọ enia yi ati ilu yi, bi a ti ifọ ohun-èlo amọkoko, ti ẹnikan kò le tun ṣe mọ, nwọn o si sin wọn ni Tofeti, nitoriti aye kò si lati sinkú.

¹¹ And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.

¹² Bayi li emi o ṣe si ibi yi, li Oluwa wi, ati si olugbe inu rẹ̀, emi o tilẹ ṣe ilu yi bi Tofeti:

¹² Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet:

¹³ Gbogbo ile Jerusalemu ati ile awọn ọba Juda ni a o sọ di alaimọ́ bi Tofeti, gbogbo ile wọnni, lori orule eyiti a ti sun turari fun ogun ọrun, ti a si ru ẹbọ mimu fun ọlọrun miran.

¹³ And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.

¹⁴ Nigbana ni Jeremiah wá si Tofeti, nibiti Oluwa ti rán a lati sọ asọtẹlẹ; o si duro ni àgbala ile Oluwa; o si wi fun gbogbo awọn enia pe,

¹⁴ Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD's house; and said to all the people,

¹⁵ Bayi li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun, Ọlọrun Israeli, wi; Sa wò o, emi o mu wá sori ilu yi, ati sori ileto rẹ̀ gbogbo ibi ti mo ti sọ si i, nitori ti nwọn ti wà ọrun kì, ki nwọn ki o má bà gbọ́ ọ̀rọ mi.

¹⁵ Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
