Read James 5

1 Ẹ wá nisisiyi, ẹnyin ọlọrọ̀, ẹ mã sọkun ki ẹ si mã pohunréré ẹkun nitori òṣi ti mbọ̀wá ta nyin.

1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

2 Ọrọ̀ nyin dibajẹ, kòkoro si ti jẹ̀ aṣọ nyin.

2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.

3 Wura on fadaka nyin diparà; iparà wọn ni yio si ṣe ẹlẹri si nyin, ti yio si jẹ ẹran ara nyin bi iná. Ẹnyin ti kó iṣura jọ dè ọjọ ikẹhin.

3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

4 Kiyesi i, ọ̀ya awọn alagbaṣe ti nwọn ti ṣe ikore oko nyin, eyiti ẹ kò san, nke rara; ati igbe awọn ti o ṣe ikore si ti wọ inu eti Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun.

4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

5 Ẹnyin ti jẹ adùn li aiye, ẹnyin si ti fi ara nyin fun aiye jijẹ; ẹnyin ti bọ́ li ọjọ pipa.

5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

6 Ẹnyin ti da ẹbi fun olododo, ẹ si ti pa a; on kò kọ oju ija si nyin.

6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

7 Nitorina ará, ẹ mu sũru titi di ipadawa Oluwa. Kiyesi i, àgbẹ a mã reti eso iyebiye ti ilẹ, a si mu sũru de e, titi di igbà akọrọ̀ ati arọ̀kuro òjo.

7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

8 Ẹnyin pẹlu ẹ mu sũru; ẹ fi ọkàn nyin balẹ̀: nitori ipadawa Oluwa kù si dẹdẹ.

8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

9 Ẹ máṣe kùn si ọmọnikeji nyin, ará, ki a má bã dá nyin lẹbi: kiyesi i, onidajọ duro li ẹnu ilẹkun.

9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

10 Ará mi, ẹ fi awọn woli ti o ti nsọ̀rọ li orukọ Oluwa ṣe apẹrẹ ìya jijẹ, ati sũru.

10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

11 Sawò o, awa a mã kà awọn ti o farada ìya si ẹni ibukún. Ẹnyin ti gbọ́ ti sũru Jobu, ẹnyin si ri igbẹhin ti Oluwa ṣe; pe Oluwa kún fun iyọ́nu, o si ni ãnu.

11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

12 Ṣugbọn jù ohun gbogbo lọ, ará mi, ẹ máṣe búra, iba ṣe ifi ọrun búra, tabi ilẹ, tabi ibura-kibura miran: ṣugbọn jẹ ki bẹ̃ni nyin jẹ bẹ̃ni; ati bẹ̃kọ nyin jẹ bẹ̃kọ; ki ẹ má bã bọ́ sinu ẹbi.

12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

13 Inu ẹnikẹni ha bajẹ ninu nyin bi? jẹ ki o gbadura. Inu ẹnikẹni ha dùn? jẹ ki o kọrin mimọ́.

13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

14 Ẹnikẹni ṣe aisan ninu nyin bi? ki o pè awọn àgba ijọ, ki nwọn si gbadura sori rẹ̀, ki nwọn fi oróro kùn u li orukọ Oluwa:

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 Adura igbagbọ́ yio si gbà alaisan na là, Oluwa yio si gbé e dide; bi o ba si ṣe pe o ti dẹ̀ṣẹ, a o dari jì i.

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16 Ẹ jẹwọ ẹ̀ṣẹ nyin fun ara nyin, ki ẹ si mã gbadura fun ara nyin, ki a le mu nyin larada. Iṣẹ ti adura olododo nṣe li agbara pupọ.

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

17 Enia oniru ìwa bi awa ni Elijah, o gbadura gidigidi pe ki ojo ki o máṣe rọ̀, ojo kò si rọ̀ sori ilẹ fun ọdún mẹta on oṣù mẹfa.

17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

18 O si tún gbadura, ọrun si tún rọ̀jo, ilẹ si so eso rẹ̀ jade.

18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

19 Ará, bi ẹnikẹni ninu nyin ba ṣìna kuro ninu otitọ, ti ẹnikan si yi i pada;

19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

20 Jẹ ki o mọ̀ pe, ẹniti o ba yi ẹlẹṣẹ kan pada kuro ninu ìṣina rẹ̀, yio gbà ọkàn kan là kuro lọwọ ikú, yio si bò ọ̀pọlọpọ ẹ̀ṣẹ mọlẹ.

20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
