1 KE rara, máṣe dasi, gbe ohùn rẹ soke bi ipè, ki o si fi irekọja awọn enia mi hàn wọn, ati ile Jakobu, ẹ̀ṣẹ wọn.

1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

2 Ṣugbọn nwọn nwá mi lojojumọ, nwọn si ni inu didun lati mọ̀ ọ̀na mi, bi orilẹ-ède ti nṣe ododo, ti kò si fi ilàna Ọlọrun wọn silẹ: nwọn mbere ilàna ododo wọnnì lọwọ mi; nwọn a ma ṣe inu didun ati sunmọ Ọlọrun.

2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

3 Nitori kini awa ṣe ngbãwẹ̀, ti iwọ kò si ri i? nitori kini awa jẹ ọkàn wa ni ìya, ti iwọ kò si mọ̀? Kiyesi i, li ọjọ ãwẹ̀ nyin ẹnyin nṣe afẹ́, ẹ si nfi agbara mu ni ṣe gbogbo iṣẹ nyin.

3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

4 Kiyesi i, ẹnyin ngbãwẹ̀ fun ìja ati ãwọ̀, ati lilù, nipa ikũku ìwa-buburu: ẹ máṣe gbãwẹ bi ti ọjọ yi, ki a le gbọ́ ohùn nyin li oke.

4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

5 Ãwẹ̀ iru eyi ni mo yàn bi? ọjọ ti enia njẹ ọkàn rẹ̀ ni ìya? lati tẹ ori rẹ̀ ba bi koriko odo? ati lati tẹ́ aṣọ ọ̀fọ ati ẽru labẹ rẹ̀? iwọ o ha pe eyi ni ãwẹ̀, ati ọjọ itẹwọgba fun Oluwa?

5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

6 Awẹ ti mo ti yàn kọ́ eyi? lati tú ọjá aiṣododo, lati tú ẹrù wiwo, ati lati jẹ ki anilara lọ lọfẹ, ati lati já gbogbo ajàga.

6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

7 Kì ha ṣe lati fi onjẹ rẹ fun awọn ti ebi npa, ati ki iwọ ki o mu awọn otòṣi ti a tì sode wá si ile rẹ? nigbati iwọ ba ri arinhòho, ki iwọ ki o bò o, ki iwọ, ki o má si fi ara rẹ pamọ kuro lọdọ ẹran-ara tirẹ.

7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

8 Nigbana ni imọlẹ rẹ yio bẹ́ jade bi owurọ, ilera rẹ yio sọ jade kánkán: ododo rẹ yio si lọ ṣaju rẹ; ogo Oluwa yio kó ọ jọ.

8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.

9 Nigbana ni iwọ o pè, Oluwa yio si dahun; iwọ o kigbe, on o si wipe, Emi nĩ. Bi iwọ ba mu àjaga, ninà ika, ati sisọ asan, kuro lãrin rẹ.

9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

10 Bi iwọ ba fà ọkàn rẹ jade fun ẹniti ebi npa, ti o si tẹ́ ọkàn ti a npọ́n loju lọrùn, nigbana ni imọlẹ rẹ yio si là ninu okùnkun, ati okùnkun rẹ bi ọ̀san gangan.

10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:

11 Oluwa yio ma tọ́ ọ nigbagbogbo, yio si tẹ́ ọkàn rẹ lọrun ni ibi gbigbẹ, yio si mu egungun rẹ sanra; iwọ o si dabi ọgbà ti a bomirin, ati bi isun omi ti omi rẹ̀ ki itán.

11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

12 Ati awọn tirẹ yio mọ ibi ahoro atijọ wọnni: iwọ o gbé ipilẹ iran ọ̀pọlọpọ ró, a o si ma pe ọ ni, Alatunṣe ẹyà nì, Olumupada ọ̀na wọnni lati gbe inu rẹ̀.

12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

13 Bi iwọ ba yí ẹsẹ rẹ kuro li ọjọ isimi, lati má ṣe afẹ́ rẹ li ọjọ isimi mi; ti iwọ si pè ọjọ isimi ni adùn, ọjọ mimọ́ Oluwa, ọlọ́wọ̀; ti iwọ si bọ̀wọ fun u, ti iwọ kò hù ìwa rẹ, tabi tẹle afẹ rẹ, tabi sọ ọ̀rọ ara rẹ.

13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

14 Nigbana ni inu rẹ yio dùn si Oluwa, emi o si mu ọ gùn ibi giga aiye, emi o si fi ilẹ níni Jakobu baba rẹ bọ́ ọ: nitori ẹnu Oluwa li o ti sọ ọ.

14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
