1 Ẹ tù enia mi ninu, ẹ tù wọn ninu, ni Ọlọrun nyin wi.

1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

2 Ẹ sọ ọ̀rọ ìtunu fun Jerusalemu, ki ẹ si ké si i pe, ogun jijà rẹ tán, pe, a dari aiṣedẽde rẹ jì: nitoripe o ti gbà nigba meji lati ọwọ́ Oluwa wá fun ẹ̀ṣẹ rẹ̀ gbogbo.

2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.

3 Ohùn ẹniti nkigbe ni ijù, ẹ tún ọ̀na Oluwa ṣe, ṣe opópo titọ́ ni aginjù fun Ọlọrun wa.

3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

4 Gbogbo afonifoji ni a o gbe soke, gbogbo òke-nla ati òke kékèké ni a o si rẹ̀ silẹ: wiwọ́ ni a o si ṣe ni titọ́, ati ọ̀na pàlapala ni a o sọ di titẹ́ju:

4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

5 A o si fi ogo Oluwa hàn, gbogbo ẹran-ara ni yio jùmọ ri i: nitori ẹnu Oluwa li o sọ ọ.

5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

6 Ohùn na wipe, Kigbe. On si wipe, Igbe kini emi o ke? Gbogbo ẹran-ara ni koriko, gbogbo ogo rẹ̀ si dabi ìtànná igbẹ́:

6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

7 Koriko nrọ, ìtànná eweko nrẹ̀: nitoripe ẹmi Oluwa ti fẹ́ lù u: dajudaju koriko ni enia.

7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

8 Koriko nrọ, ìtànná nrẹ̀: ṣugbọn ọ̀rọ Ọlọrun wa yio duro lailai.

8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

9 Iwọ onihinrere Sioni, gùn òke giga lọ: Iwọ onihin-rere Jerusalemu, gbé ohùn rẹ soke pẹlu agbara; gbé e soke, má bẹ̀ru; wi fun awọn ilu Juda pe, Ẹ wò Ọlọrun nyin!

9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

10 Kiyesi i, Oluwa Jehofah yio wá ninu agbara, apá rẹ̀ yio ṣe akoso fun u: kiyesi i, ère rẹ̀ wà pẹlu rẹ̀, ẹ̀san rẹ̀ si mbẹ niwaju rẹ̀.

10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

11 On o bọ́ ọwọ-ẹran rẹ̀ bi oluṣọ-agùtan: yio si fi apá rẹ̀ ko awọn ọdọ-agùtan, yio si kó wọn si aiya rẹ̀, yio si rọra dà awọn ti o loyun.

11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

12 Tali o ti wọ̀n omi ni kòto-ọwọ́ rẹ̀, ti o si ti fi ika wọ̀n ọrun, ti o si ti kó erùpẹ aiye jọ sinu òṣuwọn, ti o si fi ìwọn wọ̀n awọn oke-nla, ati awọn oke kékèké ninu òṣuwọn?

12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

13 Tali o ti tọ́ Ẹmi Oluwa, tabi ti iṣe igbimọ̀ rẹ̀ ti o kọ́ ọ?

13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counseller hath taught him?

14 Tali o mba a gbìmọ, tali o si kọ́ ọ lẹkọ́, ti o si kọ́ ọ ni ọ̀na idajọ, ti o si kọ́ ọ ni ìmọ, ti o si fi ọ̀na oye hàn a?

14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?

15 Kiyesi i, awọn orilẹ-ède dabi iró kan ninu omi ladugbo, a si kà wọn bi ekúru kiun ninu ìwọn: kiyesi i, o nmu awọn erekùṣu bi ohun diẹ kiun.

15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

16 Lebanoni kò si tó fi joná, bẹ̃ni awọn ẹranko ibẹ kò to lati fi rubọ sisun.

16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

17 Gbogbo orilẹ-ède li o dabi ofo niwaju rẹ̀; a si kà wọn si fun u bi ohun ti o rẹ̀hin jù ofo ati asan lọ.

17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

18 Tali ẹnyin o ha fi Ọlọrun we? tabi awòran kini ẹnyin o fi ṣe akàwe rẹ̀?

18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

19 Oniṣọ̀na ngbẹ́ ère, alagbẹdẹ wura si nfi wura bò o, o si ndà ẹ̀wọn fadakà.

19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.

20 Ẹniti o talakà tobẹ̃ ti kò fi ni ohun ọrẹ, yàn igi ti kì yio rà; o nwá ọlọgbọn oniṣọ̀na fun ara rẹ̀ lati gbẹ́ ère gbigbẹ́ ti a ki yio ṣi nipò.

20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.

21 Ẹnyin kò ti mọ̀? ẹnyin kò ti gbọ́? a kò ti sọ fun nyin li atètekọṣe? kò iti yé nyin lati ipilẹṣẹ aiye wá?

21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

22 On ni ẹniti o joko lori òbíri aiye, gbogbo awọn ti ngbe ibẹ si dabi ẹlẹngà; ẹniti o ta ọrun bi ohun tita, ti o si nà wọn bi àgọ lati gbe.

22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

23 Ẹniti o nsọ awọn ọmọ-alade di ofo; o ṣe awọn onidajọ aiye bi asan.

23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

24 Nitõtọ, a kì yio gbìn wọn; nitõtọ, a kì yio sú wọn: nitõtọ igi wọn kì yio fi gbòngbo mulẹ: on o si fẹ́ lù wọn pẹlu, nwọn o si rọ, ãja yio si mu wọn lọ bi akekù koriko.

24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

25 Njẹ tani ẹnyin o ha fi mi we, tabi tali emi o ba dọgbà? ni Ẹni-Mimọ wi.

25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

26 Gbe oju nyin soke sibi giga, ki ẹ si wò, tali o dá nkan wọnyi, ti nmu ogun wọn jade wá ni iye: o npè gbogbo wọn li orukọ nipa titobi ipá rẹ̀, nitoripe on le ni ipá; kò si ọkan ti o kù.

26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

27 Ẽṣe ti iwọ fi nwi, Iwọ Jakobu, ti iwọ si nsọ, Iwọ Israeli pe, Ọ̀na mi pamọ kuro lọdọ Oluwa, idajọ mi si rekọja kuro lọdọ Ọlọrun mi?

27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

28 Iwọ kò ti imọ? iwọ kò ti igbọ́ pe, Ọlọrun aiyeraiye, Oluwa, Ẹlẹda gbogbo ipẹkun aiye, kì iṣãrẹ̀, bẹ̃ni ãrẹ̀ kì imu u? kò si awari oye rẹ̀.

28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29 O nfi agbara fun alãrẹ̀; o si fi agbara kún awọn ti kò ni ipá.

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Ani ãrẹ̀ yio mu awọn ọdọmọde, yio si rẹ̀ wọn, ati awọn ọdọmọkunrin yio tilẹ ṣubu patapata:

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 Ṣugbọn awọn ti o ba duro de Oluwa yio tun agbara wọn ṣe; nwọn o fi iyẹ́ gùn oke bi idì; nwọn o sare, kì yio si rẹ̀ wọn; nwọn o rìn, ãrẹ̀ kì yio si mu wọn.

31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
