Read Isaiah 33

1 EGBÉ ni fun iwọ abanijẹ, ti a kò si bà ọ jẹ: ti o nhùwa arekereke, ti a kò si hùwa arekereke si ọ! nigbati iwọ o dẹkun ati banijẹ, a o bà ọ jẹ; ati nigbati iwọ bá fi opin si ihùwa arekereke, nwọn o hùwa arekereke si ọ.

1 Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

2 Oluwa, ṣãnu fun wa; awa ti duro dè ọ: iwọ mã ṣe apá wọn li òròwúrọ̀ ani igbala wa nigba ipọnju.

2 O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

3 Li ariwo irọ́kẹ̀kẹ li awọn enia sá, ni gbigbe ara rẹ soke li a fọ́n awọn orilẹ-ède ká.

3 At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.

4 A o si ṣà ikogun nyin jọ bi ikojọ awọn ẹlẹngà: bi isure siwa, isure sẹhìn awọn eṣú, li on o sure si wọn.

4 And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.

5 Gbigbega li Oluwa; nitori on ngbe ibi giga: on ti fi idajọ ati ododo kún Sioni.

5 The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

6 On o si jẹ iduroṣinṣin akoko rẹ̀, iṣura igbala, ọgbọ́n ati ìmọ; ìbẹru Oluwa ni yio jẹ iṣura rẹ̀.

6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

7 Kiyesi i, awọn akọni kigbe lode, awọn ikọ̀ alafia sọkún kikorò.

7 Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.

8 Ọ̀na opopo nla wọnni ṣófo, èro dá, on ti bà majẹmu jẹ, o ti kẹgàn ilu wọnni, kò kà ẹnikan si.

8 The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.

9 Ilẹ ngbawẹ̀ o si njoro, oju ntì Lebanoni o si rọ: Ṣaroni dabi aginju; ati Baṣani ati Karmeli gbọ̀n eso wọn danù.

9 The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.

10 Oluwa wipe, nisisiyi li emi o dide, nisisiyi li emi o gbe ara mi soke.

10 Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.

11 Ẹ o loyun iyangbò, ẹ o si bi pòropóro; ẽmi nyin, bi iná, yio jẹ nyin run.

11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.

12 Awọn enia yio si dabi sisun ẽru, bi ẹgún ti a ké ni nwọn o jo ninu iná.

12 And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.

13 Ẹ gbọ́, ẹnyin ti o jìna rére, eyi ti mo ti ṣe; ati ẹnyin ti o sunmọ tosí, ẹ jẹwọ agbara mi.

13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.

14 Ẹ̀ru bà awọn ẹlẹṣẹ̀ ni Sioni; ibẹru-bojo ti mu awọn agabàgebè. Tani ninu wa ti o le gbe inu ajonirun iná? tani ninu wa ti yio le gbe inu iná ainipẹkun?

14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

15 Ẹniti nrìn li ododo, ti o si nsọ̀rọ titọ́; ẹniti o gàn ère ininilara, ti o gbọ̀n ọwọ́ rẹ̀ kuro ni gbigbà abẹtẹlẹ, ti o di eti rẹ ni gbigbọ́ ti ẹ̀jẹ, ti o si di oju rẹ̀ ni riri ibi.

15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

16 On na yio gbe ibi giga: ile apáta yio ṣe ibi ãbo rẹ̀: a o fi onjẹ fun u; omi rẹ̀ yio si daju.

16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

17 Oju rẹ̀ yio ri ọba ninu ẹwà rẹ̀: nwọn o ma wò ilẹ ti o jina réré.

17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

18 Aiyà rẹ yio ṣe aṣaro ẹ̀ru nla. Nibo ni akọwe wà? nibo ni ẹniti nwọ̀n nkan gbe wà? nibo ni ẹniti o nkà ile-ẹ̀ṣọ wọnni gbe wà?

18 Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?

19 Iwọ kì yio ri awọn enia ti o muná; awọn enia ti ọ̀rọ wọn jinlẹ jù eyiti iwọ le gbọ́, ti ahọn wọn ṣe ololò, ti kò le ye ọ.

19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.

20 Wo Sioni, ilu ajọ afiyesi wa: oju rẹ yio ri Jerusalemu ibugbe idakẹjẹ, agọ́ ti a kì yio tú palẹ mọ; kò si ọkan ninu ẽkàn rẹ ti a o ṣí ni ipò lai, bẹ̃ni kì yio si ọkan ninu okùn rẹ̀ ti yio já.

20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.

21 Ṣugbọn nibẹ ni Oluwa ogo yio ri fun wa, bi ibi odò gbigbòro on odò ṣiṣàn; nibiti ọkọ̀ alajẹ̀ kì yio kọja, bẹ̃ni ọkọ̀ nlanla ki yio là a ja.

21 But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

22 Nitori Oluwa ni onidajọ wa, Oluwa li olofin wa, Oluwa li ọba wa; on o gbà wa là.

22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.

23 Okùn opó-ọkọ̀ rẹ tú; nwọn kò le dì opó-ọkọ̀ mu le danin-danin, nwọn kò le ta igbokun: nigbana li a pin ikogun nla; amúkun ko ikogun.

23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.

24 Ati awọn ará ibẹ̀ ki yio wipe, Ara mi kò yá: a o dari aiṣedede awọn enia ti ngbe ibẹ jì wọn.

24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
