Read Isaiah 31
1 EGBE ni fun awọn ti o sọkalẹ lọ si Egipti fun iranlọwọ; ti nwọn gbẹkẹlẹ ẹṣin, ti nwọn gbiyèle kẹkẹ́, nitoriti nwọn pọ̀: nwọn si gbẹkẹle ẹlẹṣin nitoriti nwọn li agbara jọjọ; ṣugbọn ti nwọn kò wò Ẹni-Mimọ Israeli, nwọn kò si wá Oluwa!
1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
2 Ṣugbọn on gbọ́n pẹlu, o si mu ibi wá, kì yio si dá ọ̀rọ rẹ̀ padà: on si dide si ile awọn oluṣe buburu, ati si oluranlọwọ awọn ti nṣiṣẹ aiṣedede.
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
3 Nitori enia li awọn ara Egipti, nwọn kì iṣe Ọlọrun; ẹran li awọn ẹṣin wọn, nwọn kì si iṣe ẹmi. Oluwa yio si nà ọwọ́ rẹ̀, ki ẹniti nràn ni lọwọ ba le ṣubu, ati ki ẹniti a nràn lọwọ ba lè ṣubu, gbogbo wọn o jùmọ ṣegbe.
3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
4 Nitori bayi li Oluwa ti wi fun mi pe, Gẹgẹ bi kiniun ati ẹgbọ̀rọ kiniun ti nkùn si ohun-ọdẹ rẹ̀, nigbati a npè ọpọlọpọ oluṣọ́-agutan jade wá si i, ti on kò bẹ̀ru ohùn wọn, ti kò si rẹ̀ ara rẹ̀ silẹ fun ariwo wọn: bẹ̃li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun yio sọkalẹ wá lati jà lori okè-nla Sioni, ati lori oke kékèké rẹ̀.
4 For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
5 Gẹgẹ bi ẹiyẹ iti fi iyẹ́ apa ṣe, bẹ̃ni Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun yio dabòbo Jerusalemu; ni didãbòbo o pẹlu yio si gbà o silẹ; ni rirekọja on o si dá a si.
5 As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
6 Ẹ yipadà si ẹniti ẹ ti nṣọ̀tẹ si gidigidi, ẹnyin ọmọ Israeli.
6 Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
7 Nitori li ọjọ na ni olukuluku enia yio jù ere fadaka rẹ̀, ati ere wura rẹ̀ nù, ti ọwọ́ ẹnyin tikara nyin ti ṣe fun ẹ̀ṣẹ fun nyin.
7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
8 Nigbana ni ara Assiria na yio ṣubú nipa idà, ti kì iṣe nipa idà ọkunrin, ati idà, ti ki iṣe ti enia yio jẹ ẹ: ṣugbọn on o sá kuro niwaju idà, awọn ọdọmọkunrin rẹ̀ yio ma sìnrú.
8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.
9 Apata rẹ̀ yio kọja lọ fun ẹ̀ru, awọn olori rẹ̀ yiọ bẹ̀ru asia na, ni Oluwa wi, ẹniti iná rẹ̀ wà ni Sioni, ati ileru rẹ̀ ni Jerusalemu.
9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.
