1 LI ọjọ na li a o kọ orin yi ni ilẹ Juda; Awa ní ilu agbara; igbala li Ọlọrun yio yàn fun odi ati ãbo.

1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

2 Ẹ ṣi ilẹkun bodè silẹ, ki orilẹ-ède ododo ti nṣọ́ otitọ ba le wọ̀ ile.

2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

3 Iwọ o pa a mọ li alafia pipé, ọkàn ẹniti o simi le ọ: nitoriti o gbẹkẹle ọ.

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4 Ẹ gbẹkẹle Oluwa titi lai: nitori Oluwa Jehofa li apata aiyeraiye:

4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

5 Nitori o rẹ̀ awọn ti ngbe oke giga silẹ; ilu giga, o mu u wálẹ; o mu u wálẹ; ani si ilẹ; o mu u de inu ekuru.

5 For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

6 Ẹsẹ yio tẹ̀ ẹ mọlẹ, ani ẹsẹ awọn talaka, ati ìṣísẹ̀ awọn alaini.

6 The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

7 Ọ̀na awọn olõtọ ododo ni: iwọ, olõtọ-julọ, ti wọ̀n ipa-ọ̀na awọn olõtọ.

7 The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.

8 Nitõtọ, Oluwa, li ọ̀na idajọ rẹ, li awa duro de ọ: ifẹ́ ọkàn wa ni si orukọ rẹ, ati si iranti rẹ.

8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.

9 Ọkàn mi li emi fi ṣe afẹ̃ri rẹ li oru; nitõtọ, pẹlu ẹmi mi ninu mi li emi o wá ọ ni kutùkutù; nitori nigbati idajọ rẹ mbẹ ni ilẹ, awọn ti mbẹ li aiye yio kọ́ ododo.

9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

10 Bi a ba fi ojurere hàn enia buburu, kì yio kọ́ ododo: ni ilẹ iduroṣinṣin li on o hùwa aiṣõtọ, kì yio si ri ọlanla Oluwa.

10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.

11 Oluwa, ọwọ́ rẹ gbe soke, nwọn kì yio ri, ṣugbọn nwọn o ri, oju o si tì wọn nitori ilara wọn si awọn enia; nitõtọ, iná awọn ọta rẹ yio jẹ wọn run.

11 LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.

12 Oluwa, iwọ o fi idi alafia mulẹ fun wa: pẹlupẹlu nitori iwọ li o ti ṣe gbogbo iṣẹ wa fun wa.

12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

13 Oluwa Ọlọrun wa, awọn oluwa miran lẹhin rẹ ti jọba lori wa: ṣugbọn nipa rẹ nikan li awa o da orukọ rẹ sọ.

13 O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

14 Awọn okú, nwọn kì yio yè; awọn ti ngbe isà-okú, nwọn kì yio dide; nitorina ni iwọ ṣe bẹ̀ wọn wò ti o si pa wọn run, ti o si mu ki gbogbo iranti wọn parun.

14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

15 Iwọ ti mu orilẹ-ède bi si i, Oluwa, iwọ ti mu orilẹ-ède bi si i; iwọ ti di ẹni-ãyin li ogo: iwọ ti sún gbogbo ãlà siwaju.

15 Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.

16 Oluwa, ninu wahala ni nwọn wá ọ, nwọn gbadura wúyẹ́wúyẹ́ nigbati ibawi rẹ wà lara wọn.

16 LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.

17 Gẹgẹ bi aboyun, ti o sunmọ akoko ibi rẹ̀, ti wà ni irora, ti o si kigbe ninu irora rẹ̀; bẹ̃li awa ti wà li oju rẹ, Oluwa.

17 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.

18 Awa ti loyun, awa ti wà ni irora, o si dabi ẹnipe awa ti bi ẹfũfu; awa kò ṣiṣẹ igbala kan lori ilẹ, bẹ̃ni awọn ti ngbe aiye kò ṣubu.

18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

19 Awọn okú rẹ yio yè, okú mi, nwọn o dide. Ẹ ji, ẹ si kọrin, ẹnyin ti ngbe inu ekuru: nitori ìri rẹ ìri ewebẹ̀ ni, ilẹ yio si sọ awọn okú jade.

19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

20 Wá, enia mi, wọ̀ inu iyẹ̀wu rẹ lọ, si se ilẹkun rẹ mọ ara rẹ: fi ara rẹ pamọ bi ẹnipe ni iṣẹ́ju kan, titi ibinu na fi rekọja.

20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

21 Nitorina, kiye si i, Oluwa ti ipò rẹ̀ jade lati bẹ̀ aiṣedede ẹniti ngbe ori ilẹ wo lori ilẹ; ilẹ pẹlu yio fi ẹ̀jẹ rẹ̀ hàn, kì yio si bo okú rẹ̀ mọ.

21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
