1 NITORINA bi a ti fi awọsanmọ ti o kún to bayi fun awọn ẹlẹri yí wa ká, ẹ jẹ ki a pa ohun idiwọ gbogbo tì si apakan, ati ẹ̀ṣẹ ti o rọrun lati dì mọ wa, ki a si mã fi sũru sure ije ti a gbé ka iwaju wa,

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Ki a mã wò Jesu olupilẹṣẹ ati alaṣepe igbagbọ́ wa; ẹni, nitori ayọ̀ ti a gbé ká iwaju rẹ̀, ti o farada agbelebu, laika itiju si, ti o si joko li ọwọ́ ọtún itẹ́ Ọlọrun.

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

3 Sá ro ti ẹniti o farada irú isọrọ-odì yi lati ọdọ awọn ẹlẹṣẹ si ara rẹ̀, ki ẹ má ba rẹwẹsi ni ọkàn nyin, ki ãrẹ si mu nyin.

3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

4 Ẹnyin kò ìtĩ kọ oju ija si ẹ̀ṣẹ titi de ẹ̀jẹ ni ijakadi nyin.

4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

5 Ẹnyin si ti gbagbé ọ̀rọ iyanju ti mba nyin sọ bi ọmọ pe, Ọmọ mi, má ṣe alainani ibawi Oluwa, ki o má si ṣe rẹwẹsi nigbati a ba nti ọwọ́ rẹ̀ ba ọ wi:

5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

6 Nitoripe ẹniti Oluwa fẹ, on ni ibawi, a si mã nà olukuluku ọmọ ti o gbà.

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 Ẹ mã mu suru labẹ ibawi: Ọlọrun mba nyin lo bi ọmọ ni; nitoripe ọmọ wo ni mbẹ ti baba ki ibawi?

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 Ṣugbọn bi ẹnyin ba wà li aisi ibawi, ninu eyiti gbogbo enia ti jẹ alabapin, njẹ ọmọ àle ni nyin, ẹ kì isi iṣe ọmọ.

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

9 Pẹlupẹlu awa ni baba wa nipa ti ara ti o ntọ́ wa, awa si mbù ọlá fun wọn: awa kì yio kuku tẹriba fun Baba awọn ẹmí ki a si yè?

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

10 Nitori nwọn tọ́ wa fun ọjọ diẹ bi o ba ti dara loju wọn; ṣugbọn on fun ère wa, ki awa ki o le ṣe alabapin ìwa mimọ́ rẹ̀.

10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

11 Gbogbo ibawi kò dabi ohun ayọ̀ nisisiyi, bikoṣe ibanujẹ; ṣugbọn nikẹhin a so eso alafia fun awọn ti a ti tọ́ nipa rẹ̀, ani eso ododo.

11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

12 Nitorina ẹ na ọwọ́ ti o rọ, ati ẽkun ailera;

12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

13 Ki ẹ si ṣe ipa-ọna ti o tọ fun ẹsẹ nyin, ki eyiti o rọ má bã kuro lori iké ṣugbọn ki a kuku wo o san.

13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

14 Ẹ mã lepa alafia pẹlu enia gbogbo, ati ìwa mimọ́, li aisi eyini kò si ẹniti yio ri Oluwa:

14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

15 Ẹ mã kiyesara ki ẹnikẹni ki o máṣe kùna ore-ọfẹ Ọlọrun; ki gbòngbo ikorò kan ki o má ba hù soke ki o si yọ nyin lẹnu, ọ̀pọlọpọ a si ti ipa rẹ̀ di aimọ́;

15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

16 Ki o má bã si àgbere kan tabi alaiwa-bi-Ọlọrun bi Esau, ẹniti o ti itori òkele onjẹ kan tà ogún ibí rẹ̀.

16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

17 Nitori ẹnyin mọ̀ pe lẹhinna ní ani nigbati o fẹ lati jogun ibukun na, a kọ̀ ọ (nitori kò ri aye ironupiwada) bi o tilẹ ti fi omije wá a gidigidi.

17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

18 Nitori ẹnyin kò wá si òke, ti a le fi ọwọ kàn, ati si iná ti njó, ati si iṣúdùdu ati òkunkun, ati iji,

18 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

19 Ati iró ipè, ati ohùn ọ̀rọ, eyiti awọn ti o gbọ́ bẹ̀bẹ pe, ki a máṣe sọ ọ̀rọ si i fun wọn mọ́:

19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

20 Nitoripe ara wọn kò le gbà ohun ti o palaṣẹ, Bi o tilẹ jẹ ẹranko li o farakan òke na, a o sọ ọ li okuta, tabi a o gún u li ọ̀kọ pa.

20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

21 Iran na si lẹrù tobẹ̃, ti Mose wipe, ẹ̀ru bà mi gidigidi mo si warìri.

21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

22 Ṣugbọn ẹnyin wá si òke Sioni, ati si ilu Ọlọrun alãye, si Jerusalemu ti ọ̀run, ati si ẹgbẹ awọn angẹli ainiye,

22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

23 Si ajọ nla ati ìjọ akọbi ti a ti kọ orukọ wọn li ọ̀run, ati sọdọ Ọlọrun onidajọ gbogbo enia, ati sọdọ awọn ẹmí olõtọ enia ti a ṣe li aṣepé,

23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

24 Ati sọdọ Jesu alarina majẹmu titun, ati si ibi ẹ̀jẹ ibuwọ́n nì, ti nsọ̀rọ ohun ti o dara jù ti Abeli lọ.

24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

25 Kiyesi i, ki ẹ máṣe kọ̀ ẹniti nkilọ. Nitori bi awọn wọnni kò ba bọ́ nigbati nwọn kọ̀ ẹniti nkilọ li aiye, melomelo li awa kì yio bọ́ awa ti o pẹhinda si ẹniti nkilọ lati ọrun wá:

25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

26 Ohùn ẹniti o mì aiye nigbana: ṣugbọn nisisiyi o ti ṣe ileri, wipe, Lẹ̃kan si i emi kì yio mì kìki aiye nikan, ṣugbọn ọrun pẹlu.

26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

27 Ati ọ̀rọ yi, Lẹ̃kan si i, itumọ rẹ̀ ni mimu awọn ohun wọnni ti a nmì kuro, bi ohun ti a ti da, ki awọn ohun wọnni ti a kò le mì le wà sibẹ.

27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Nitorina bi awa ti ngbà ilẹ ọba ti a kò le mì, ẹ jẹ ki a ni ore-ọfẹ nipa eyiti awa le mã sin Ọlọrun ni itẹwọgbà pẹlu ọ̀wọ ati ibẹru rẹ̀.

28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

29 Nitoripe Ọlọrun wa, iná ti ijonirun ni.

29 For our God is a consuming fire.
