Read Genesis 20
1 ABRAHAMU si ṣí lati ibẹ̀ lọ si ilẹ ìha gusù, o si joko li agbedemeji Kadeṣi on Ṣuri; o si ṣe atipo ni Gerari.
1 And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
2 Abrahamu si wi niti Sara aya rẹ̀ pe, Arabinrin mi ni: Abimeleki ọba Gerari si ranṣẹ, o si mu Sara.
2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
3 Ṣugbọn Ọlọrun tọ̀ Abimeleki wá li ojuran li oru, o si wi fun u pe, kiyesi i, okú ni iwọ, nitori obinrin ti iwọ mu nì; nitori aya ọkunrin kan ni iṣe.
3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.
4 Ṣugbọn Abimeleki kò sunmọ ọ: o si wipe, OLUWA, iwọ o run orilẹ-ède olododo pẹlu?
4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?
5 On kọ ló ha wi fun mi pe arabinrin mi ni iṣe? on, obinrin tikalarẹ̀ si wipe, arakunrin mi ni: li otitọ inu ati alaiṣẹ̀ ọwọ́ mi, ni mo fi ṣe eyi.
5 Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
6 Ọlọrun si wi fun u li ojuran pe, Bẹ̃ni, emi mọ̀ pe li otitọ inu rẹ ni iwọ ṣe eyi; nitorina li emi si ṣe dá ọ duro ki o má ba ṣẹ̀ mi: nitorina li emi kò ṣe jẹ ki iwọ ki o fọwọkàn a.
6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
7 Njẹ nitori na mu aya ọkunrin na pada fun u; woli li on sa iṣe, on o si gbadura fun ọ, iwọ o si yè: bi iwọ kò ba si mu u pada, ki iwọ ki o mọ̀ pe, kikú ni iwọ o kú, iwọ, ati gbogbo ẹniti o jẹ tirẹ.
7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
8 Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.
9 Nigbana li Abimeleki pè Abrahamu, o si wi fun u pe, Kili o ṣe si wa yi? ẹ̀ṣẹ kini mo ṣẹ̀ ọ, ti iwọ fi mu ẹ̀ṣẹ nla wá si ori mi, ati si ori ijọba mi? iwọ hùwa si mi ti a ki ba hù.
9 Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
10 Abimeleki si wi fun Abrahamu pe, Kini iwọ ri, ti iwọ fi ṣe nkan yi?
10 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
11 Abrahamu si wipe, Nitoriti mo rò pe, nitõtọ ẹ̀ru Ọlọrun kò sí nihinyi; nwọn o si pa mi nitori aya mi.
11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.
12 Ati pẹlupẹlu nitõtọ arabinrin mi ni iṣe, ọmọbinrin baba mi ni, ṣugbọn ki iṣe ọmọbinrin iya mi; o si di aya mi.
12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
13 O si ṣe nigbati Ọlọrun mu mi rìn kiri lati ile baba mi wá, on ni mo wi fun u pe, eyi ni ore rẹ ti iwọ o ma ṣe fun mi; nibikibi ti awa o gbé de, ma wi nipa ti emi pe, arakunrin mi li on.
13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.
14 Abimeleki si mu agutan, ati akọmalu, ati iranṣẹkunrin, ati iranṣẹbinrin, o si fi wọn fun Abrahamu, o si mu Sara, aya rẹ̀, pada fun u.
14 And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.
15 Abimeleki si wipe, Kiyesi i, ilẹ mi niyi niwaju rẹ: joko nibiti o wù ọ.
15 And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
16 O si wi fun Sara pe, Kiyesi i, mo fi ẹgbẹrun ìwọn fadaka fun arakunrin rẹ: kiyesi i, on ni ibojú fun ọ fun gbogbo awọn ti o wà lọdọ rẹ, ati niwaju gbogbo awọn ẹlomiran li a da ọ lare.
16 And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.
17 Abrahamu si gbadura si Ọlọrun: Ọlọrun si mu Abimeleki li ara dá, ati aya rẹ̀, ati awọn ọmọbinrin-ọdọ rẹ̀; nwọn si bimọ.
17 So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
18 Nitori OLUWA ti sé inu awọn ara ile Abimeleki pinpin, nitori ti Sara, aya Abrahamu.
18 For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.
