¹ NIGBATI OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ ba mú ọ dé ilẹ na nibiti iwọ gbé nlọ lati gbà a, ti o ba lé orilẹ-ède pupọ̀ kuro niwaju rẹ, awọn Hitti, ati awọn Girgaṣi, ati awọn Amori, ati awọn ara Kenaani, ati awọn Perissi, ati awọn Hifi, ati awọn Jebusi, orilẹ-ède meje, ti o pọ̀ ti o si lagbara jù ọ lọ;

¹ When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

² Nigbati OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ ba fi wọn lé ọ lọwọ, iwọ o si kọlù wọn; ki o si run wọn patapata; iwọ kò gbọdọ bá wọn dá majẹmu, bẹ̃ni iwọ kò gbọdọ ṣãnu fun wọn:

² And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

³ Bẹ̃ni iwọ kò gbọdọ bá wọn dá ana; ọmọbinrin rẹ ni iwọ kò gbọdọ fi fun ọmọkunrin rẹ̀, ati ọmọbinrin rẹ̀ ni iwọ kò gbọdọ mú fun ọmọkunrin rẹ.

³ Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

⁴ Nitoripe nwọn o yi ọmọkunrin rẹ pada lati ma tọ̀ mi lẹhin, ki nwọn ki o le ma sìn ọlọrun miran: ibinu OLUWA o si rú si nyin, on a si run ọ lojiji.

⁴ For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

⁵ Ṣugbọn bayi li ẹnyin o fi wọn ṣe; ẹnyin o wó pẹpẹ wọn, ẹ o si bì ọwọ̀n wọn lulẹ, ẹ o si ke igbo oriṣa wọn lulẹ, ẹ o si fi iná jó gbogbo ere finfin wọn.

⁵ But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

⁶ Nitoripe enia mimọ́ ni iwọ fun OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ: OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ ti yàn ọ lati jẹ́ enia ọ̀tọ fun ara rẹ̀, jù gbogbo enia lọ ti mbẹ lori ilẹ.

⁶ For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

⁷ OLUWA kò fi ifẹ́ rẹ̀ si nyin lara, bẹ̃ni kò yàn nyin, nitoriti ẹnyin pọ̀ ni iye jù awọn enia kan lọ; nitoripe ẹnyin li o tilẹ kére jù ninu gbogbo enia:

⁷ The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

⁸ Ṣugbọn nitoriti OLUWA fẹ́ nyin, ati nitoriti on fẹ́ pa ara ti o ti bú fun awọn baba nyin mọ́, ni OLUWA ṣe fi ọwọ́ agbara mú nyin jade, o si rà nyin pada kuro li oko-ẹrú, kuro li ọwọ́ Farao ọba Egipti.

⁸ But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

⁹ Nitorina ki iwọ ki o mọ̀ pe, OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ, on li Ọlọrun; Ọlọrun olõtọ, ti npa majẹmu mọ́ ati ãnu fun awọn ti o fẹ́ ẹ, ti nwọn si pa ofin rẹ̀ mọ́ dé ẹgbẹrun iran;

⁹ Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

¹⁰ Ti o si nsan a pada fun awọn ti o korira rẹ̀ li oju wọn, lati run wọn: on ki yio jafara fun ẹniti o korira rẹ̀, on o san a fun u loju rẹ̀.

¹⁰ And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

¹¹ Nitorina ki iwọ ki o pa ofin, ati ìlana, ati idajọ mọ́, ti mo palaṣẹ fun ọ li oni, lati ma ṣe wọn.

¹¹ Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.

¹² Yio si ṣe, nitoriti ẹnyin fetisi idajọ wọnyi, ti ẹ si npa wọn mọ́, ti ẹ si nṣe wọn, njẹ OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ yio ma pa majẹmu ati ãnu mọ́ fun ọ, ti o ti bura fun awọn baba rẹ:

¹² Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:

¹³ On o si fẹ́ ọ, yio si bukún ọ, yio si mu ọ bisi i: on o si bukún ọmọ inu rẹ, ati eso ilẹ rẹ, ọkà rẹ, ati ọti-waini rẹ, ati oróro rẹ, ibisi malu rẹ, ati awọn ọmọ agbo-agutan rẹ, ni ilẹ na ti o ti bura fun awọn baba rẹ lati fi fun ọ.

¹³ And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

¹⁴ Iwọ o jẹ́ ẹni ibukún jù gbogbo enia lọ: ki yio sí akọ tabi abo ninu nyin ti yio yàgan, tabi ninu ohunọ̀sin nyin.

¹⁴ Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.

¹⁵ OLUWA yio si gbà àrun gbogbo kuro lọdọ rẹ, ki yio si fi ọkan ninu àrun buburu Egipti, ti iwọ mọ̀, si ọ lara, ṣugbọn on o fi wọn lé ara gbogbo awọn ti o korira rẹ.

¹⁵ And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

¹⁶ Iwọ o si run gbogbo awọn enia ti OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ yio fi fun ọ; oju rẹ kò gbọdọ ṣãnu fun wọn: bẹ̃ni iwọ kò gbọdọ sìn awọn oriṣa wọn; nitoripe idẹkùn li eyinì yio jẹ́ fun ọ.

¹⁶ And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

¹⁷ Bi iwọ ba wi li ọkàn rẹ pe, Awọn orilẹ-ède wọnyi pọ̀ jù mi lọ; bawo li emi o ṣe le lé wọn jade?

¹⁷ If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?

¹⁸ Ki iwọ ki o máṣe bẹ̀ru wọn: ṣugbọn ki iwọ ki o ranti daradara ohun ti OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ ṣe si Farao, ati si gbogbo Egipti;

¹⁸ Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;

¹⁹ Idanwò nla ti oju rẹ ri, ati àmi, ati iṣẹ-iyanu, ati ọwọ́ agbara, ati ninà apa, ti OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ fi mú ọ jade: bẹ̃ni OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ yio ṣe si gbogbo awọn enia na ẹ̀ru ẹniti iwọ mbà.

¹⁹ The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.

²⁰ Pẹlupẹlu OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ yio rán agbọ́n sinu wọn, titi awọn ti o kù, ti nwọn si fi ara wọn pamọ́ fun ọ yio fi run.

²⁰ Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.

²¹ Ki iwọ ki o máṣe fòya wọn: nitoriti OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ mbẹ lãrin rẹ, Ọlọrun ti o tobi ti o si lẹrù.

²¹ Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.

²² OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ yio tì awọn orilẹ-ède na jade diẹdiẹ niwaju rẹ: ki iwọ ki o máṣe run wọn tán lẹ̃kan, ki ẹranko igbẹ́ ki o má ba pọ̀ si ọ.

²² And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

²³ Ṣugbọn OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ yio fi wọn lé ọ lọwọ, yio si fi iparun nla pa wọn run, titi nwọn o fi run.

²³ But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.

²⁴ On o si fi awọn ọba wọn lé ọ lọwọ, iwọ o si pa orukọ wọn run kuro labẹ ọrun: kò sí ọkunrin kan ninu wọn ti yio le duro niwaju rẹ, titi iwọ o fi run wọn tán.

²⁴ And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.

²⁵ Ere finfin oriṣa wọn ni ki ẹnyin ki o fi iná jó: iwọ kò gbọdọ ṣe ojukokoro fadakà tabi wurà ti mbẹ lara wọn, bẹ̃ni ki o máṣe mú u fun ara rẹ, ki o má ba di idẹkùn fun ọ; nitoripe ohun irira ni si OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ:

²⁵ The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.

²⁶ Bẹ̃ni iwọ kò gbọdọ mú ohun irira wá sinu ile rẹ, ki iwọ ki o má ba di ẹni ifibú bi rẹ̀: ṣugbọn ki iwọ ki o korira rẹ̀ patapata, ki iwọ ki o si kà a si ohun irira patapata; nitoripe ohun ìyasọtọ ni.

²⁶ Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.
