1 NJẸ bi a ba ti ji nyin dide pẹlu Kristi, ẹ mã ṣafẹri awọn nkan ti mbẹ loke, nibiti Kristi gbé wà ti o joko li ọwọ́ ọtun Ọlọrun.

1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Ẹ mã ronu awọn nkan ti mbẹ loke kì iṣe awọn nkan ti mbẹ li aiye.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 Nitori ẹnyin ti kú, a si fi ìye nyin pamọ́ pẹlu Kristi ninu Ọlọrun.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 Nigbati Kristi, ẹniti iṣe ìye wa yio farahàn, nigbana li ẹnyin pẹlu o farahàn pẹlu rẹ̀ ninu ogo.

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

5 Nitorina ẹ mã pa ẹ̀ya-ara nyin ti mbẹ li aiye run: àgbere, iwa-ẽri, ifẹkufẹ, ifẹ buburu, ati ojukòkoro, ti iṣe ibọriṣa:

5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

6 Nitori ohun tí ibinu Ọlọrun fi mbọ̀wa sori awọn ọmọ alaigbọran.

6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

7 Ninu eyiti ẹnyin pẹlu ti nrìn nigbakan rí, nigbati ẹnyin ti wà ninu nkan wọnyi.

7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

8 Ṣugbọn nisisiyi, ẹ fi gbogbo wọnyi silẹ pẹlu; ibinu, irunu, arankàn, ọrọ-odi, ati ọrọ itiju kuro li ẹnu nyin.

8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

9 Ẹ má si ṣe purọ́ fun ẹnikeji nyin, ẹnyin sa ti bọ́ ogbologbo ọkunrin nì silẹ pẹlu iṣe rẹ̀;

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 Ẹ si ti gbé ọkunrin titun nì wọ̀, eyiti a sọ di titun si ìmọ gẹgẹ bi aworan ẹniti o da a:

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

11 Nibiti kò le si Hellene ati Ju, ikọla ati aikọla, alaigbede, ara Skitia, ẹrú ati omnira: ṣugbọn Kristi li ohun gbogbo, ninu ohun gbogbo.

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12 Nitorina, bi ayanfẹ Ọlọrun, ẹni mimọ́ ati olufẹ, ẹ gbé ọkàn ìyọ́nu wọ̀, iṣeun, irẹlẹ, inu tutù, ipamọra;

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 Ẹ mã farada a fun ara nyin, ẹ si mã dariji ara nyin bi ẹnikẹni bá ni ẹ̀sun si ẹnikan: bi Kristi ti darijì nyin, gẹgẹ bẹ̃ni ki ẹnyin ki o mã ṣe pẹlu.

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 Ati bori gbogbo nkan wọnyi, ẹ gbé ifẹ wọ̀, ti iṣe àmure ìwa pipé.

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

15 Ẹ si jẹ ki alafia Ọlọrun ki o mã ṣe akoso ọkàn nyin, sinu eyiti a pè nyin pẹlu ninu ara kan; ki ẹ si ma dupẹ.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

16 Ẹ jẹ ki ọ̀rọ Kristi mã gbé inu nyin li ọ̀pọlọpọ ninu ọgbọ́n gbogbo; ki ẹ mã kọ́, ki ẹ si mã gbà ara nyin niyanju ninu psalmu, ati orin iyìn, ati orin ẹmí, ẹ mã fi ore-ọfẹ kọrin li ọkàn nyin si Oluwa.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17 Ohunkohun ti ẹnyin ba si nṣe li ọ̀rọ tabi ni iṣe, ẹ mã ṣe gbogbo wọn li orukọ Jesu Oluwa, ẹ mã fi ọpẹ́ fun Ọlọrun Baba nipasẹ rẹ̀.

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

18 Ẹnyin aya, ẹ mã tẹriba fun awọn ọkọ nyin, gẹgẹ bi o ti yẹ ninu Oluwa.

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

19 Ẹnyin ọkọ, ẹ mã fẹran awọn aya nyin, ẹ má si ṣe korò si wọn.

19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

20 Ẹnyin ọmọ, ẹ mã gbọ ti awọn õbi nyin li ohun gbogbo: nitori eyi dara gidigidi ninu Oluwa.

20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

21 Ẹnyin baba, ẹ máṣe mu awọn ọmọ nyin binu, ki nwọn má bã rẹwẹsi.

21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

22 Ẹnyin ọmọ-ọdọ, ẹ gbọ ti awọn oluwa nyin nipa ti ara li ohun gbogbo; kì iṣe ni arojuṣe, bi awọn alaṣewù enia; ṣugbọn ni otitọ inu, ni ibẹ̀ru Ọlọrun:

22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

23 Ohunkohun ti ẹnyin ba nṣe, ẹ mã fi tọkàntọkàn ṣe e, gẹgẹ bi fun Oluwa, kì si iṣe fun enia;

23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

24 Ki ẹ mọ̀ pe lọwọ Oluwa li ẹnyin ó gbà ère ogun: nitori ẹnyin nsìn Oluwa Kristi.

24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

25 Ṣugbọn ẹnikẹni ti o ba ṣe aiṣododo, yio gbà pada nitori aiṣododo na ti o ti ṣe: kò si si ojuṣãju enia.

25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
