Ọmọ a ma bọla fun baba, ati ọmọ-ọdọ fun oluwa rẹ̀: njẹ bi emi ba ṣe baba, ọla mi ha da? bi emi ba si ṣe oluwa, ẹ̀ru mi ha da? li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi fun nyin: Ẹnyin alufa, ti ngàn orukọ mi. Ẹnyin si wipe, Ninu kini awa fi kẹ́gàn orukọ rẹ?

A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?
