O si wi fun baba rẹ̀ pe, Oluwa mi, máṣe jẹ ki o bi ọ ninu nitori ti emi kò le dide niwaju rẹ; nitori ti iṣe obinrin mbẹ lara mi. O si wá agọ́ kiri, ṣugbọn kò ri awọn ere na.

And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched, but found not the images.
