Bi mo ti wà, ni Oluwa Ọlọrun wi, nitõtọ, nitori ti ọwọ́-ẹran mi di ijẹ, ti ọwọ́-ẹran mi di onjẹ fun olukuluku ẹranko igbẹ́, nitoriti kò si oluṣọ́ agutan, bẹ̃ni awọn oluṣọ́ agutan kò wá ọwọ́-ẹran mi ri, ṣugbọn awọn oluṣọ́ agutan bọ́ ara wọn, nwọn kò si bọ́ ọwọ́-ẹran mi.

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
