Nitori a ti tà wa, emi ati awọn enia mi, lati run wa, lati pa wa, ki a le parun. Ṣugbọn bi o ṣe pe, a ti tà wa fun ẹrúkunrin, ati ẹrúbirin ni, emi iba pa ẹnu mi mọ́, bi o tilẹ jẹ pe ọta na kò le di ofò ọba.

For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.
