On li o si tọ́ Hadassa dagba, eyini ni Esteri, ọmọbinrin arakunrin baba rẹ̀: nitori kò ni baba, bẹ̃ni kò si ni iya, wundia na si li ẹwà, o si dara lati wò; ẹniti, nigbati baba ati iya rẹ̀ ti kú tan, Mordekai mu u ṣe ọmọbinrin ontikalarẹ̀,

And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
