Kìki ki iwọ ki o ma kiyesara rẹ, ki o si ṣọ́ ọkàn rẹ gidigidi, ki iwọ ki o má ba gbagbé ohun ti oju rẹ ti ri, ati ki nwọn ki o má ba lọ kuro li àiya rẹ li ọjọ́ aiye rẹ gbogbo; ṣugbọn ki iwọ ki o ma fi wọn kọ́ awọn ọmọ rẹ, ati awọn ọmọ ọmọ rẹ;

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
