Ọba si pe awọn ara Gibeoni, o si ba wọn sọ̀rọ: awọn ara Gibeoni ki iṣe ọkan ninu awọn ọmọ Israeli, ṣugbọn nwọn jẹ awọn ti o kù ninu awọn ọmọ Amori; awọn ọmọ Israeli si ti bura fun wọn: Saulu si nwá ọ̀na ati pa wọn ni itara rẹ̀ fun awọn ọmọ Israeli ati Juda.

And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
