Absalomu si da Joabu lohùn pe, Wõ, emi ranṣẹ si ọ, wipe, Wá nihinyi, emi o si rán ọ lọ sọdọ ọba, lati wi pe, Kili emi ti Geṣuri wá si? iba sàn fun mi bi o ṣepe emi wà nibẹ̀ sibẹ. Njẹ emi nfẹ ri oju ọba; bi o ba si ṣe pe ẹ̀ṣẹ mbẹ li ara mi, ki o pa mi.

And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto thee, saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? it had been good for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see the king's face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me.
