On si dahùn pe, Iwọ kò gbọdọ pa wọn: iwọ jẹ pa awọn ti iwọ fi idà rẹ ati ọrun rẹ kó ni igbèkun? Gbe onjẹ ati omi kalẹ niwaju wọn, ki nwọn ki o jẹ, ki nwọn ki o si mu, ki nwọn ki o si tọ̀ oluwa wọn lọ.

And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.
