Ọlọrun si wi fun u pe, Nitoriti iwọ bère nkan yi, ti iwọ kò si bère ẹmi gigun fun ara rẹ, bẹ̃ni iwọ kò bère ọlá fun ara rẹ, bẹ̃ni iwọ kò bère ẹmi awọn ọta rẹ; ṣugbọn iwọ bère oye fun ara rẹ lati mọ̀ ẹjọ-idá;

And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
