On si wipe, Ni jijowu, emi ti njowu fun Oluwa Ọlọrun awọn ọmọ-ogun: nitoriti awọn ọmọ Israeli ti kọ̀ majẹmu rẹ silẹ, nwọn si ti wó awọn pẹpẹ rẹ lulẹ, nwọn si ti fi idà pa awọn woli rẹ; ati emi, ani emi nikanṣoṣo li o kù; nwọn si nwá ẹmi mi lati gba a kuro.

And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
