Nwọn si mu ẹgbọrọ akọ-malu na ti a fi fun wọn, nwọn si ṣe e, nwọn si kepè orukọ Baali lati owurọ titi di ọ̀sangangan wipe, Baali! da wa lohùn. Ṣugbọn kò si ohùn, bẹ̃ni kò si idahùn. Nwọn si jó yi pẹpẹ na ka, eyiti nwọn tẹ́.

And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.
