Joabu si wipe, Ki Oluwa ki o mu awọn enia rẹ pọ̀ si i ni igba ọgọrun jù bi wọn ti wà: ọba, oluwa mi, gbogbo wọn kì iha ṣe iranṣẹ oluwa mi? ẽṣe ti oluwa mi fi mbère nkan yi? ẽṣe ti on o fi mu Israeli jẹbi.

And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?
