Dafidi si wi fun Ọlọrun pe, Emi kọ́ ha paṣẹ lati kaye awọn enia? ani emi li ẹniti o ṣẹ̀ ti mo si ṣe buburu pãpã; ṣugbọn bi o ṣe ti agutan wọnyi, kini nwọn ṣe? Emi bẹ̀ ọ, Oluwa Ọlọrun mi, jẹ ki ọwọ rẹ ki o wà li ara mi, ati lara ile baba mi; ṣugbọn ki o máṣe li ara awọn enia rẹ ti a o fi arùn kọlu wọn.

And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.
