Zechariah 5

¹ I look again, and this time I see a scroll wey dey fly for air.

² The angel ask me wetin I see. I answer say, “I see a scroll dey fly for air; e be nine meters long and 4.5meters wide.”

³ Then he tell me say, “Na the curse wey suppose go on top the whole land dem write on top am. For one side of the scroll na curse wey dey against thief; and for the other side of the scroll na curse wey dey against people wey dey lie when dem make promise.

⁴ Almighty God talk say him go send this curse out, and e go enter house of every thief and the house of everyone wey dey lie under oath. E go remain for their house and destroy them.

⁵ The angel come again and talk say, Look! Another thing dey come!”

⁶ I ask am, “Wetin e be?” He reply say, “Na basket, and e stand for sin of the whole land.”

⁷ The basket get cover wey dem use lead make. As I dey watch, the cover open, and a woman dey siddon in the basket!

⁸ The angel talk say, “This woman dey represent evil.” Then he con push her down enter the basket and put the cover back.

⁹ I look up and I see two women dey fly come meet me with powerful wings wey be like bird own. Dem carry the basket and fly off with am.

¹⁰ I ask the angel say, “Where dem dey carry am go?”

¹¹ He talk say, “Na to Babylonia, where dem go build temple for am. When dem finish the temple, dem go put the basket there and worship am.”
