Ruth 3

¹ One day, Naomi tell Ruth say: Time don reach make I find you husband, wey go give you home and take care of you.

² You don dey pick grain with women wey dey for Boaz, and you know say he be our relative. Tonight he go dey separate the grain.

³ Now, go bath and use some perfume, then wear your cloth wey make sense pass. Go where he dey work, but no let him see you until he don finish to dey eat and drink.

⁴ Watch where he dey go spend night, then when don sleep, lift the wrapper wey he use cover body and lie down for him feet. He go tell you wetin to do.

⁵ Ruth come answer say, “I go do anything wey you say.”

⁶ Naso she go out to the place wey Boaz dey work and do wetin Naomi don tell her.

⁷ After Boaz finish to dey eat and drink and he don dey happy, he go sleep near where dem put pile of grain. Naso Ruth go down quietly. She lift the cover cloth and lay down near him feet.

⁸ For middle of the night, Boaz wake up and he dey shock say he see a woman dey lie down for him feet.

⁹ He ask say, “Who you be?” Naso she answer say, “Sir, I be Ruth, and you be the relative wey suppose dey take care of me. So, spread edge of your cover cloth over me.”

¹⁶ Naomi ask her wetin don happen, and Ruth tell her everything.

¹⁷ She also tell her say, Boaz give me this grain, because he no wan make I come back without something for you.

¹⁸ Naomi reply say, “Just dey patient and no worry about wetin go happen. He no go rest until everything don settle today!
