Psalms 76

¹ Dem know God for Judah; dem dey honor him name for Israel.

² Him house dey for Jerusalem; he dey live for Mount Zion.

³ Na there he break the arrow of the enemy, their shield and sword, yes, all their weapon.

⁴ You dey glorious, O God; how majestic as you come back from mountain where you go defeat your enemy.

⁵ Their soldier wey dey brave don lose all dem get and now dem con dey sleep the sleep of death; all their strength and skill don dey useless.

⁶ O God of Jacob, when you threaten them, their horse and riders fall and die.

⁷ But LORD, na you everybody dey fear. Nobody fit stand for where you dey when you dey vex.

⁸ Na from heaven you dey make us know your judgement, the world dey fear and dem keep quiet,

⁹ when you rise to announce judgement, to save those wey dey suffer on top earth.

¹⁰ Human being anger just dey lead to more praise for you; those wey survive the war go keep your festival.

¹¹ Give the LORD your God wetin you promise am; bring gift to him, una nations wey dey near. God dey make everybody fear him;

¹² him dey humble prince wey dey proud and him dey make king fear.
