Proverbs 14
1 Wise women dey make their homes, but foolish women dey destroy their homes.
2 Those wey dey live right dey respect God; but when you no live right, you no respect God.
3 Stupid words dey cause trouble; the words of the wise dey protect them.
4 Una house go empty if una no get bulls to do harvest, but una house go dey full with corn if una get bulls.
5 A good witness dey always tell the truth, but a bad witness na liar wey person no fit trust.
6 People wey make fun of wisdom no fit become wise, but knowledge dey come with ease to those wey know the value.
7 Stay away from foolish people; dem no get anything wey dem go teach you.
8 Why clever person dey wise? Na because he know wetin he suppose do. Why stupid person dey foolish? Na because he only think say he know.
9 Foolish people no dey care if dem sin, but good people want make their sins dey forgiven
10 Your joy na your own; your bitterness na your own. Nobody fit share them with you.
11 A house of good person go still dey stand after the house of evil people don destroy.
12 Wetin you think say na right road fit lead to death.
13 Laughter fit hide sadness. When happiness don go, sorrow dey always remain there.
14 Bad people go get wetin dem deserve. Good people go get reward for wetin dem do.
15 Stupid people go believe anything; people wey get sense dey watch their step.
16 Wise people dey always dey careful to stay out of trouble, but stupid people dey always dey careless and dem dey act quickly.
17 People wey get hot temper dey do foolish things; people wey wise dey remain calm.
18 Ignorant people dey get wetin their foolishness deserve, but smart people dey get reward of knowledge.
19 Evil people go bow down to the righteous and beg for their favor.
20 Nobody like the poor, even their neighbors no like them, but the rich dey get plenty friends.
21 If you wan dey happy, make you dey kind to the poor; na sin to dey hate anybody.
22 Person wey do good go get love and the respect of others. Na mistake to dey do evil.
23 If you work hard, you go enjoy good life. If you sit around dey talk, you no go get anything.
24 Na wealth be the reward of wise people, but na foolishness be the reward of stupid people.
25 A witness dey save lives when he dey tell the truth; when he dey lie, he dey betray people.
26 Fear of God dey give confidence and security to a man and him family.

34 Na righteousness dey make nation great; sin na shame to any nation.
35 Kings dey happy with wise officials, but dem dey punish those wey bring shame to them.
