Numbers 30

¹ God give Moses the instructions wey follow for tribe leaders of Israel.

² When a man make promise say him go give something to God, or he take oath say he no go do something again, make he no break him promise, but make he do wetin he talk say him go do.

³ When a young woman wey still live with her father make a promise say she go give something to God, or promise say she no go do something again,

⁴ make she do everything wey she promise, unless her father no gree when he hear about am.

⁵ But if the father no allow her when he hear about am, she no need keep am. God go forgive her because her father no allow her keep an.

6-7 Suppose say a woman make promise to God and come marry later, whether she mean am or not, make she do everything wey she don promise, if her husband no say anything.

⁸ But if her husband no gree when he hear about am, she no need keep am again, and God go forgive her.

⁹ Make widow and women wey don leave their husband dey keep the promise dem make to God.

¹⁰ Suppose say a woman wey don marry make a promise to God,

¹¹ if her husband hear about the promise and he no say anything, make she do wetin she don promise.

¹² But if he hear about the promise and no gree, she no need keep the promise. God go forgive her, because her husband no gree allow her keep the promise.

¹³ Na her husband get final say about any promise wey she make to God.

¹⁴ If her husband hear about a promise and he no say anything about am for a day, she must do wetin she promise. He don support the promise as he no say anything the day he hear am.

¹⁵ But if he wait till next day before he talk say he no gree, na him go suffer the punishment for not keeping promise.

¹⁶ Na the laws wey God give Moses about husband and wife, and young woman wey still dey live with her father be these.
