Numbers 12

¹ Moses don marry one Cushite woman, and Miriam and Aaron begin dey criticize him for am.

⁴ Suddenly God tell Moses, Aaron, Miriam say, “I wan make the three of una come to the Tent of my presence.” Dem go,

⁵ and God come down inside pillar of cloud, stand for entrance of the Tent, and call out, “Aaron! Miriam!” The two of them come front,

⁶ and God say, “Make una hear wetin I wan say! When prophets dey among una, I dey show myself to them for vision and speak to them for dream.

⁷ E dey different when I dey talk with my servant Moses; I don put him in charge of all people of Israel.

⁸ So, I dey follow him talk face to face, and I dey show him wetin I wan make he talk clearly; he don even see my image. So why una get strong mind to speak against my servant Moses?”

⁹ God dey really vex with them; naso he leave them

¹⁰ and the cloud leave the Tent. Aaron com turn and look at Miriam. Her skin don turn white like snow – she don get terrible skin disease!

¹⁰ Aaron come tell Moses say, “Abeg sir, forgive us for the foolish sin wey we don commit.

¹² No allow her loose her skin like a baby wey dem born dead with half the skin chop off.”

¹³ Naso Moses cry out to God, “O God, heal her!”

¹⁴ God answer Moses, “If her father spit for her face, she go still face the shame for seven days. So put her outside camp for one week, and after that, una fit bring her come back in.”

¹⁵ Naso dem take Miriam outside camp for one week, and the people no move commot from that place until dem bring her back again.

¹⁶ The people come leave Hazeroth and dem set up camp for Paran desert.
