Leviticus 20

¹ God tell Moses

² make he tell people of Israel say, “Any of una or any foreigner wey give any of him children to dey use worship the god Molech, make all the community stone am to death.

³ If anyone give one of him children to Molech and make my holy Tent unclean and disgrace my holy name, I go turn against him and he no go be one of my people again.

⁴ But if una no stone am to death,

⁵ I myself go turn against the man and all him family, and against everybody wey join him to dey worship Molech and to dey unfaithful to me. Dem no go be my people again.

⁶ If anyone go take advice from people wey dey consult spirit of the dead, I go turn against him and he no go be one of my people again.

⁷ Make una keep unaself holy, because I be the LORD una God.

⁸ Dey obey my laws, because I be the LORD and I make una holy.”

⁹ God come give the rules wey follow. Anyone wey curse him father or him mother, make una kill am; na him cause him own death.

¹⁰ If a man commit adultery with wife of a fellow-Israelite, make una kill am and the woman.

¹¹ A man wey have sex with one of him father wife don disgrace him father, make una kill him and the woman. Na dem cause their own death.

¹² If a man have sex with him daughter-in-law, make una kill both of them. Dem don commit crime and na dem cause their own death.

¹³ If a man have sex with another man, dem don do irritating thing, and make una kill both of them. Na dem cause their own death.

¹⁴ If a man marry mother and daughter, make una burn the three of them to death because of wetin dem don do; make una no allow that kind thing among una.

¹⁵ If a man have sex with animal, make una kill am and the animal.

¹⁶ If a woman try have sex with animal, make una kill her and the animal. Na dem cause their own death.

¹⁷ If a man marry him sister or half-sister, make una disgrace them for public and drive commot for the community. He don have sex with him sister and he go suffer the consequence.

¹⁸ If a man have sex with a woman when she dey do her monthly period, make una drive both of them commot for the community, because dem don break the rule to dey clean for ritual.

¹⁹ If a man have sex with him aunt, both of them go suffer the consequence for the crime.

²⁰ If a man have sex with him uncle wife, he don disgrace him uncle, and him and the woman go pay the penalty; none of them go get child.

²¹ If a man marry him brother wife, dem no go get child. He don do unclean thing, and he don disgrace him brother.

²² God say, “Keep all my laws and commands, so that Canaan land wey I dey take una no go reject una.

²³ Make una no follow custom of people wey don live for there before; I dey drive out those pagans so that una fit enter the land. Dem don irritate me with all their evil way.

²⁴ But I don promise una this rich and fertile land as una possession, and I go give am to una. I be the LORD una God, and I don make una dey special from other nations.

²⁵ So, make una make clear difference between animals and birds wey dey clean and the ones wey no dey clean. Make una no eat unclean animal and birds. I don declare them unclean, if una eat them, una go be unclean.

²⁶ Una go dey holy and be my own only, because I be the LORD and I dey holy. I don set una apart from other nations, so that una go belong to me only.

²⁷ Any man or woman wey consult spirit of the dead, make una stone am to death; any person wey do am don cause him own death.
