Leviticus 14

¹ God tell Moses say,

² “Na the rules for ritual wey go purify person wey don get cure for terrible skin disease be this. On the day wey dem go say he dey clean, make dem bring am to the priest,

³ and the priest go take him outside camp and check him. If the disease don heal,

⁴ the priest go order say make dem bring two ritually clean birds, with cedar wood, red cord, and hyssop.

⁵ The priest go come order say make dem kill one of the bird on top clay bowl wey get fresh water inside.

⁶ He go take the other bird together with the cedar wood, the red cord, and the hyssop, and put them inside blood of the bird wey dem don kill.

⁷ He go sprinkle the blood seven times on the person wey need skin disease cure, and then he go say he dey clean. He go allow the live bird fly on top open field.

⁸ The person go wash him cloth, shave all him hair, and bath; he go come dey clean. He fit enter the camp, but he go live outside him tent for seven days.

⁹ On the seventh day he go shave him head, him beard, him eyebrows, and the remaining hair for him body; he go wash him cloth and bath, and he go come become ritually clean.

¹⁰ On the eight day he go bring two male lambs and a female lamb, one year old wey no get error, three kilogram of flour wey dem don mix with olive oil, and one-third of a liter of olive oil.

¹¹ The priest must bring the person and the sacrifice come before God for entrance of Tabernacle Tent. (Make the priest be the same priest wey talk say the person don dey clean.)

¹² The priest go take one of the lamb and oil for guilt offering. He go lift them for front of God to show say he don present them to God.

¹³ Then the priest go kill the male lamb for holy place where dem dey kill sin offering and burnt offering. As e be for sin offering, na priest get guilt offering. E dey very holy.

¹⁴ The priest go take some blood of the guilt offering. He go put some for tip of right ear of the person, for thumb of him right-hand, and for big toe of him right foot..

¹⁵ The priest go also take some of the oil and pour am to him own left palm.

¹⁶ Then the priest go put the finger of him right hand inside the oil wey dey for him left palm. He go use him finger sprinkle some of the oil seven times before God.

¹⁷ He go come put some of the oil wey dey him palm on the person wey go dey clean. He go put that oil for same place wey he don put guilt offering blood. The priest go put some of the oil for tip of the person right ear, for thumb of the right hand , and for big toe of the person right foot.

¹⁸ He go put the oil wey remain for him palm for head of the person wey wan dey clean. For this way, he go make that person clean before God.

¹⁹ Then the priest go offer sin offering to make that person dey pure. After that, he go kill the animal for burnt offering.

²⁰ He go come offer the burnt offering and grain offering on top altar. For this way, the priest go make the person pure, and the person go dey clean.

²¹ If a poor person no fit get all these offering, the poor person fit use one male lamb for guilt offering. Make he present am to God so that the priest fit make the person pure. The poor person go take 8 cups of fine flour wey dem don mix with oil, one-third of a liter of olive oil

²² and two doves or two young pigeons. Even the poor fit get these things. One bird go be sin offering, and the other go be burnt offering.

²³ On the eight day, that person go bring the things to priest for entrance of Tabernacle Tent. Dem go offer am to God so that the person fit dey clean.

²⁴ The priest go take the lamb for guilt offering and the oil, and he go lift them to show say he don offer them to God.

²⁵ He go come kill the lamb for guilt offering, take some of the blood, and put am for the tip of the person right ear, for thumb of him right-hand, and for big toe of him right foot.

²⁶ The priest go put some of the oil for palm of him own left-hand

²⁷ and he go use finger of him right-hand sprinkle some of am seven times for God presence.

²⁸ He go put some of the oil for same place wey he don put blood: for tip of the person right ear, for thumb of him right hand, and for big toe of him right foot.

²⁹ He go put some of the oil wey dey him hand for the person head, and for this way he don perform ritual to make the person clean.

³⁰ Then he go offer one of the dove or pigeon

³¹ as sin offering and the other for burnt offering with the grain offering. For this way, the priest go perform ritual to purify the person.

³² Na the rules wey go make people clean after dem don get well from skin disease. Na rules for people wey no fit get regular sacrifice to get clean.

³³ God also tell Moses and Aaron say,

³⁴ “When una enter Canaan land, wey I dey give to una as una own, and I put spreading mildew for house in that land,

³⁵ the owner of the house must go tell priest say, ‘I don see something wey look like mildew for my house.’

³⁶ The priest go order say make dem move everything commot for the house before he check the mildew; or else he go say everything wey dey the house no dey clean. He go come go to the house

³⁷ and check the mildew. If spots wey be like green or red dey eat go inside the wall,

³⁸ he go leave the house and lock am up for seven days.

³⁹ On the seventh day, he go come go back go check am again. If the mildew don spread,

⁴⁰ he go order say make dem remove the stones wey the mildew dey and throw them to somewhere wey dey unclean for outside city.

⁴¹ After that, he go remove all the interior wall and plaster, and dump them for unclean place outside city.

⁴² Dem go use other stone replace stones wey dem don remove, and dem go use new plaster cover the wall.

⁴³ If the mildew show again after dem don remove the stone and plaster am again,

⁴⁴ the priest go check am again. If e don spread, the house no dey clean.

⁴⁵ Make dem destroy am, and make dem carry the stone, the wood, and all the plaster commot for the city to unclean place.

⁴⁶ Any person wey enter the house when dem lock am up go dey unclean till evening.

⁴⁷ Any person wey lie down or eat for the house must wash him cloth.

⁴⁸ If the mildew no spread when the priest come check am after dem don plaster am, he go say the house dey ritually clean, because the mildew don commot completely.

⁴⁹ To purify the house, he go take two birds, some cedar wood, a red cord, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ He go kill one of the bird on top clay bowl wey get fresh water.

⁵¹ He go take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the red cord, and the live bird and put them inside blood of the bird wey he kill and for the fresh water. And he go sprinkle the house seven times.

⁵² Na for this way he go purify the house with the bird blood, the fresh water, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop, and the red cord.

⁵³ He go come allow the live bird fly away outside the city on top open field. Na for this way he go perform ritual to purify the house, and e go dey ritually clean.

⁵⁴ Na the laws for terrible skin disease,

55-

⁵⁶ wound, boils, or bright spots for body; and for mildew on cloth or house be these.

⁵⁷ Na the law go teach when something dey clean and when e dey unclean.
