Joshua 11

¹ When the news of Israel victory reach King Jabin of Hazor, he send word to king Jobab of Madon, to kings of Shimron and Achshaph,

² And to the kings wey dey hill country for north, for Jordan Valley south of Lake Galilee, for foothills, and on the coast wey near Dor.

³ He also send word to the Canaanites wey dey for both sides of Jordan, to the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizites, and the Jebusites for hill country, and to Hivites wey dey live for foot of Mount Hemon in the land of Mizpah.

⁴ Dem come with all their soldiers – the army wey get men wey plenty like sand wey dey seaside. Dem also get plenty horse and chariot.

⁵ All these kings join their force and come together and dem set up camp for Merom Brook to fight Israel.

⁶ God tell Joshua say, “No fear them. By this time tomorrow, I go don kill all of them for Israel. Make una cripple their horses and burn their chariots.”

⁷ Naso Joshua and all him men attack them when dem no expect for Merom Brook.

⁸ God give Israelites victory over them; Israelites pursue them go far north take reach Misrephoth Maim and Sidon, and go far east reach the valley of Mizpah. The fight continue until all the enemy don die.

⁹ Joshua do wetin God don command to them to do: he cripple their horses and burn their chariots.

¹⁰ Joshua con turn back, he capture Hazor and kill the king. (At that time, na Hazor dey powerful pass out of all those kingdoms.)

¹¹ Dem kill everybody wey dey there; dem no leave anybody alive, and dem burn the city.

¹² Joshua capture all these cities and their kings, he kill everybody, just as God servant, Moses don command.

¹³ Israelites no burn any city wey dem build on top hill, except Hazor wey Joshua burn.

¹⁴ The people of Israel take everything wey get value and animals from the cities and keep them for themselves. But dem kill all the people wey dey there; none of them dey alive.

¹⁵ God don give him commands to him servant Moses, Moses don give them to Joshua, and Joshua obey them. He do everything wey God don command Moses.

¹⁶ Joshua capture all the land – the hill country, the foothills, both north and south, all the area of Goshen and the dry country wey dey south of am, and Jordan Valley.

¹⁷ The territory spread from Mount Halak for south near Edom, take reach Baalgad for north, in the valley of Lebanon for south of Mount Hermon.

¹⁸ Joshua dey fight war with kings of this territory for long time, but he capture all of them and kill them.

¹⁹ The only city wey make peace with the people of Israel na Gibeon, where some of the Hivites dey live. Dem defeat others for battle.

²⁰ God don make them decide say dem go fight Israelites, so that dem go perish and all of them go die without mercy. Na wetin God don command Moses be this.

²¹ This time Joshua go destroy the giants wey dem dey call Anakim wey dey live for hill country – for Hebron, Debir, Anab, and for all the hill country of Judah and Israel. Joshua destroy them and their cities.

²² None of the Anakim remain for the land of Israel; few of them still remain for Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod.

²³ Joshua capture all the land, as God don command Moses. Joshua give am to the Israelites as their own and divide am into different portions, one for each tribe. Naso the people rest from war.
