Job 7

Human life na struggle on top earth, e be like life of laborer,

Like slave wey dey find cool shade; like workers wey dey wait for their pay.

Month after month I no get anything to live for; night after night dey bring me pain.

When I lie down to sleep, the hour dey drag; I dey roll all night and I dey wait make morning come.

Na worm full my body; and disease cover am; pus dey commot from my wound.

My days dey pass fast than weaver shuttle, and my life go end without hope.

O God, remember say my life na like breath; my happiness don end already.

You dey see me now, but you no go see me again. If you look for me, I for don go.

Like cloud wey fade commot, people dey die and no dey come back;

people wey know them dey forget them.

No! I no fit dey quiet; I dey vex. I go talk.

Why you say make guard dey watch me? You think say I be sea monster?

I dey lie down make I try rest; I dey try calm down my pain.

But you dey fear me with dream; you dey send me vision and bad dream.

E better make person choke me to death pass to dey live for this useless body.

I don give up; I don tire to dey live. Leave me alone, my life no make sense.

Why people dey important to you? Why you dey pay attention to wetin dem dey do?

Why you dey visit them every morning and test them every time.

Shey you no go look away or even leave me alone for small time.

She e dey wound you as I dey sin, you wey be jailer? Why you dey use me as your target to dey practice? I be burden to you?

Shey you no fit forgive my sin? You no fit just pardon wrong thing wey I don do? Soon I go dey my grave, and I for don go when you come look for me.
