Isaiah 42
1 God talk say, Na my servant be this, wey I don give strength- the one wey I don chose, the one wey I dey happy with. I don fill him with my spirit, and he go bring justice to every nation/
2 He no go shout or raise him voice or make loud speech for streets
3 He no go break tent wey don bend or off the lamp wey dey shine. He go bring justice wey go last to all.
4 He no go lose hope and he no go dey discourage; he go make justice rain on earth. Distant lands dey wait so bad for him teaching.
5 God create heaven and stretch them out; na him create the earth and everything wey dey live for there; he dey give life and breath to all hin people. And now the LORD God tell him servant say,
6 I, the LORD, I don call you and I don give you power to see say you do justice for earth. I go make covenant to all people through you; I go bring light to the nation through you.
7 You go open blind person eyes and you go set those wey sit for dark prisons free.
8 I alone, I be the LORD your God. No other gods fit share my glory; I no go allow idols share my praise.
9 The thing wey I predict don happen now. Now I go tell you new things even before them start to dey happen.
1 Make una sing new song to God; make una sing him praise, all the world! Make una praise him, una wey sail on sea; all creatures of the earth, make una praise him! Make una sing, distant land and all people wey dey live for there!
1 Make the desert and hin town praise God; make people of Kedar praise him! Make those wey dey live for city of Sela shout for joy from top of mountains!
1 Make those wey dey live for distant lands give give praise and glory to God!
1 God dey go out go fight like warrior; he don ready and for battle. He dey give war cry, battle shout, he dey show him power against him enemy.
1 God say, e don tey wey I dey silent; I no answer my people. But now time to act don come; I cry out like woman wey dey for labour.
1 I go destroy the hill and mountain and I go dry the grass and trees. I go turn river valley to desert and I go dry the pools of water.
1 I go lead my blind people through road wey dem never travel before. I go turn their darkness to light and I go make rough road smooth before them. Na my promises be these, and I no go fail to keep them.
1 Shame and disgrace go catch, all those wey trust in idols, wey dey call images their god.
1 God say, make una listen, una deaf people! Make una look well, una wey no dey see!
1 Shey anyone dey blind pass my servant, deaf pass the messenger wey I send?
2 Israel, una don see plenty thingd, but weting e don mean to una? Una get ear to hear, but wetin una don hear?
2 The LORD na God wey dey to save, he dey lift him laws and teachings, and he want make him people dey honour them.
2 But now dem don rob him people; dem don lock them up for cell and dem don hide them for prisons. Dem rape and rob them, and no one dey wey fit rescue them.
2 Shey any of una go listen to this? Shey una go listen with care from now on?
2 Who carry Israel give robbers? Na God, wey we don sin against do am! We no dey gree live as he wan make we live or obey the teachings wey he don give us.
2 Naso he con make us feel the force of him anger and make us suffer the violence of war. Him anger dey burn like fire for throughout Israel, but we no know wetin dey happen; we no learn anything from am at all.
