Isaiah 22

¹ Na message about valley of vision be this. Wetin dey happen? Why all people of the city dey celebrate on top the roof of the houses?

³ All una leaders run away and dem catch them before dem fit shoot one arrow.

⁴ Now make una leave me make I cry bitterly over those of my people wey don die. Make una no try comfort me.

⁵ This na time of panic, defeat and confusion for land of valley of vision, and the Almighty God, don send am on top us. The wall of our city don fall down, and cry for help don echo among the hills.

⁶ Soldiers from land of Elam dey ride on horseback, and dem dey armed with bows and arrow. Soldier from land of Kir don get their shield ready.

⁷ Na chariot, full the good valley of Judah sodiers on horse back stand for front of Jerusalem gate.

¹⁹ God go remove you from the office and he go bring you down from your high position.”

²⁰ God tell Shebna say, “When e happen like dat, I go con send for my servant Eliakim son of Hilkiah.

²¹ I go put your official rope and belt on him and I go give him all the authority wey you don get before. He go be like father to people of Jerusalem and Judah.

²² I go give him complete authority under the king, descendant of David. He go get keys of office; anything wey he open, nobody go fit close am, and anything wey he close, nobody go open am.

²³ I go hold him well, and he go be source of honour to him family.

²⁴ “But all him relative and dependants go be burden to him. Dem go hnag on him like pot and bowls wey dem dey hand from hin peg!
