Habakkuk 3

¹ Na the prayer of prophet Habakkuk be this:

² O, God I don hear wetin you do and I dey amazed, now do for our time too, the great things wey you dey always do. Dey merciful even when you dey vex.

³ God dey come from Edom; the holy God dey come from the holy hills of pagan. Him glory cover heavens; and the earth full of him praise.

⁴ He come with brightness of lightning; light dey shine for him hand, na for there him power dey hide.

⁵ He send disease for him front and command death to dey follow am.

⁶ When he stop, earth go shake; for him look earth dey shake. everlasting mountain dey break; everlasting hills dey sink go down, hills wey him waka for ancient times.

⁷ I see people of Cushan dey fear and people of Midian dey shake.

⁸ God, shey na the river dey make you vex? Shey na the sea dey make you vex? You ride on top cloud and storm cloud na your chariot, as you bring victory for your people.

⁹ You don prepare to use your bow, and don ready to shoot your arrows. Your lightining split dey open the earth.

¹⁰ When mountain see you dem dey shake; water dey come down for sky. The water wey dey under earth dey shout and their waves dey rise high.

¹¹ The moon and the sun don lose their brightness. Dem stop to dey shine when dem see your bright flash of light. The lightening be like spears and arrow wey dem shoot for air.

¹² Na vex you take waka on top earth; and you punish the nations.

¹³ You come save your people, and you lead the king wey you don choose to victory. You strike down the leader of the wicked, and destroy all hin followers.

¹⁴ Your arrow tear the commander of him army when e come like storm to come scatter us, dem think say dem fit defeat us like those wey oppress the poor for secret.

¹⁵ But you match your horses enter deep water, and you stir up mud.

¹⁶ All my body shake when I hear the story. My lips shake. I con weak for my bones and I stand there dey shake. But I go wait make destruction come meet people wey attack us.

¹⁷ Even if fig tree no get fruit and grape no grow for vines, even if olive crop fail and the field no produce corn, even if all sheep die and all cattle cage dey empty,

¹⁸ I go still dey joyful and glad, because the LORD God na my saviour.

¹⁹ Almighty God give me strength, he help me dey run fast like deer. He lead me safely on top mountains.
