Genesis 3

¹ Na snake dey cunny pass among all the animal wey God create. One day e ask the woman, shey God tell you make you no eat out of the fruit of trees wey dey this garden?

² The woman answer am, we fit eat the fruits of trees wey dey this garden.

³ Na only fruits of tree wey dey the middle of this garden we no fit eat from. God say, you no fit eat or touch am, if you do you go die.

⁴ Snake con answer am, "You no fit die."

⁵ God know say your eye go open if you eat am, you go be like God wey know good and bad.

⁶ The woman come gree and she see say the tree dey beautiful and the fruit dey look sweet and she want the wisdom wey the fruit go give her. Naso she chop the fruit, she come give some to her husband wey she dey with and he chop am too.

⁷ Naso their eye come open and dem begin to dey shame because dem dey naked and dem use leaves cover their body.

⁸ When evening reach, man and him wife hear as God dey waka for inside the garden, dem come hide from God inside trees.

⁹ Naso the Lord call man, where you dey?

¹⁰ Naso he reply say, I hear as you dey waka, I come hide because I dey fear say I dey naked.

¹¹ Naso God ask am, who tell you say you dey naked? Shey you don eat from the fruit wey I say make you no eat?

¹² The man come reply "Na the woman wey you give me na she give me the fruit and I chop am."

¹³ The Lord come ask the woman, "Wetin you don do so?" The woman answer "Na snake decieve me, na the reason why I chop am."

¹⁴ The Lord come tell the snake say, "Because of the thing wey you don do, I don curse you among all animal, na your belle you go dey use crawl for ground for your whole life.

¹⁵ I go make you and woman hate each other and your pikin and her own pikin go be enemies. Her pikin go scatter your head and your pikin go bite her pikin leg.

¹⁶ He come tell woman say, "I go increase your trouble when you dey pregnant and your pain when you dey born pikin. For all these, you go still love your husband and you go dey respect am."

¹⁷ He tell man say, "You hear your wife and you chop the fruit wey I tell you make you no eat. Because of wetin you don do, I don curse ground, you go need to dey work hard all your life to make the land produce food for you.

¹⁸ E go dey produce weed and you go need to dey chop hard plant.

¹⁹ You go need to work hard and sweat to make the land produce until you go back to the land wey you come from. Na from sand we make you and you go become sand.

²⁰ Adam come name him wife Eve because na she be the mother of everybody.

²¹ God come make cloth out of animal skin for Adam and him wife and He give them clothe.

²² The Lord come say, "Man don become one of us and him don know the things wey good and the things wey bad, make we no allow am dey take fruit from the tree wey dey give life so that him no go dey live forever."

²³ Naso God send am comot from garden of Eden make him dey farm ground wey him come from.

²⁴ For each side of the garden, He come put living creatures and he put some wey get fire for body make e dey turn for all direction. Him do am so that no one go fit come near the tree of life.
