Ezekiel 14
1 One day some leaders for Israel come meet me and ask for message from God.
2 When dem dey there, God talk say:
3 Son of man, these men don start to dey worship idols, though dem know say e go make dem to dey sin, so I no gree give dem message!
4 Tell people of Israel say if them sin by worshiping idols and then go meet prophet know wetin I say, I go give them answer wey their sin suppose get.
5 When dem hear my message maybe dem go turn back to me and stop to dey worship idols.
6 Now, Ezekiel tell everyone for Israel say: I be the Almighty God. Make una come back to me and stop to dey worship those idols wey I hate so much.
7 Suppose say one of you Israelites or foreigner wey dey live for Israel reject me and start to dey worship idols. If una go meet prophet to know wetin I talk, I go answer
8 by turning against una. I go use una do warning to others wey wan do the same thing, una no go belong to my people again. Then you go know say I be God and that you don sin against me.
9 If prophet give false message, na me make the prophet lie. But I go still reject am and remove am from my people,
10 and anyone wey go meet that prophet for message go suffer the same way.
11 I go do this, so that una go fit come back to me and stop to dey destroy una self with this bad sin. So turn back to me! and I be go be una God, and una go be my people. I, Almighty God, don make this promise.
12 The Almighty God talk say:
13 Son of man, suppose say, the whoin against me, and I punish them by destroying their crop and allow its people and livestock hungry to death.
14 Even if Noah, Daniel, and Job they live for that nation, their faithfulness no go save pass only them.
15 or suppose say I punish nation by sending wild animals make dem eat people and scare people wey dey pass away, so that the land go become barren desert.
16 As surely as I live, I promise say if these three men dey live for that nation, their children no go save. The three men go live, but the land go be empty desert.
17 or suppose say I send enemy make dem attack sinful nation and kill its people and livestock.
18 If these three men dey the nation when I dey punish am, not even their children go save. Na only the three men go live.
19 And suppose say I dey vex and I send deadly disease make e wipe out the people and livestock of sinful nation.
20 Again, even if Noah, Daniel and Job dey live for there, I, God, promise say the children of these faithful men go die, na only three of them go remain.
21 I be the Almighty God, and I don promise to punish Jerusalem. I go send war, hunger, wild animal and deadly disease make e slaughter its people and livestock,
22 and those wey remain go be taken from their country go Babylonia. Ezekiel, when you see how sinful dem be, then you go know why I do all these thing to Jerusalem.
23 You go believe say, I, the Almighty God, right to do wetin I do.
