Ecclesiastes 12
So make una remember una creator as una still dey young, before those bad days and years go come when una go say, "I no enjoy life."
That na when the light of the sun, the moon, and the stars go grow dim for una, and the rain clouds no go pass away.
Then una hands, wey don protect una, go shake, and una legs, wey strong now, go become weak. Una teeth go dey too small to chop una food, and una eyes go dey dim, e no go dey see well.
Una ears go dey deaf to the noise of the street. Una go hardly hear the grinding machine as e dey grind or as music dey play, but even the song of bird go wake una up from sleep.
Una go fear high places, and to dey waka go dey dangerous. Una hair go turn white; e go hard for una to dey walk, and all una desire go commot. We dey go our final resting place, and then mourning go start for streets.
The silver chain go break, and the golden lamp go fall and break; the rope for well go break, and the water container go scatter.
Our body go turn dust of the earth, and the breath of life go con go back to God, wey give am to us.
The preacher talk say, vanity upon vanity. All na vanity.
But because the preacher dey wise, he continue to dey teach people wetin he know. He don study proverb and he don honestly test their truth.
The preacher don try find words wey fit console, but the words wey he write dey honest.
The words of the preacher na like sharp sticks wey shepherd dey use guide sheep, and the proverbs wey he collect be like nails wey tight. Na God don give them, the one wey be Shepherd of all of us.
My pikin, something else dey wey you go watch out for. End no dey for the writing of books, and too much study go make you weak.
After all this, na only one thing dey to talk about: make una fear God, and obey him commands, because na wetin he create human being for be that.
God go judge everything wey we do, whether good or bad, even things wey we do for secret.
