Deuteronomy 10

¹ Moses tell the people say: God tell me make I cut out two flat stones, just like the ones he don give me before and make wooden box wey I go put them, and come meet him on top mountain.

² He tell me say he go write the same words wey he don write on the stones wey I break on top the new stones, and say I fit put these stones inside the holy box.

³ Naso I make a box with acacia wood, and I cut out two flat stones like the one wey I break. I come carry the stone go up the mountain,

⁴ where God write the Ten Commandments on them, just as he don do the other time. The commandments na the same thing wey he don announce from the fire, when una gather at the mountain. After God return the stones to me,

⁵ I take them go down for mountain side and put them in the box, just as he don command. And dem still dey there.

⁶ Later, we set up camp at the wells wey belong to the descendants of Jaquan. Then we continue and camp for Moserah, where Aaron die, and him son Eleazar become priest. We camp for Gudgodah

⁷ and later for Jotbathah, where flowing streams dey.

⁸ After I put two stones inside box, God choose tribe of Levi, no be to dey only carry the box, but to also serve as him priests for place of worship and to bless other tribes for him name. And dem still dey do these things.

⁹ God promise say he go always provide for the tribe of Levi, and that na why he no go give them any land, when he divide am among other tribes.

¹⁰ When I don take the second set of stones on top mountain, I spend 40 days and nights for there, just as I don do before. Once again, God answer my prayer and he no destroy una.

¹¹ Instead, he tell me say, "Moses, go ready to lead the people into the land wey I promise their ancestor."

¹² People of Israel, wetin the LORD una God want from una? God wan make una respect and follow him, to love and serve him with all una heart and soul,

¹³ and to obey him laws and commands wey I dey give una today. Do am, and all go come go well for una.

¹⁴ Na the LORD una God get everything, no be only earth and everything wey dey inside am, but the sky and high heavens.

¹⁵ Yet God love una ancestors and he wan make dem be him own. Naso he choose them and their descendants instead of any other nation, and today una still be him people.

¹⁶ Make una remember una agreement with God and stop to dey stubborn.

¹⁷ The LORD una God dey powerful pass all other gods and lords, and na to dey fear him almighty power. Him decision dey always dey good, and una no fit bribe him to change him mind.

¹⁸ God dey defend the rights of orphans and widow. He dey care for foreigners and give them food and cloth.

¹⁹ And Make una take care of them, because una be foreigners for Egypt.

²⁰ Dey respect the LORD una God, dey faithful and serve only him, dey make promise for him name.

²¹ Make una offer una praises to him, because una don see him work terrible miracles for una.

²² When una ancestors go live for Egypt, dem be only 70. But God don bless una, and now una don plenty pass stars for sky.
