Amos 9

¹ I see God dey stand for alter, and he talk say, "Hit the top of temple column and make you shake them go down. Push them and dem go fall on top people head. I go kill those people wey survive with sword. None of them go run away. None of them go escape.

² If dem dig deep go ground, I go pull them from there. If dem go up for sky, I go bring them down from there.

³ If dem hide on top Mount Carmel, I go find them there and take them commot for that place. If dem try hide for bottom of the sea, I go command the snake, and e go bite them.

⁴ If their enemy capture and take them away, I go command sword, and e go kill them for there. Yes, I go watch over them, but I go watch for way I go give them trouble, no be for way to dey do good things."

⁵ The Almighty God go touch the land, and the land go melt. Then all the people wey dey live for the land go cry for the dead. The land go rise and fall like River Nile for Egypt.

⁶ He build him upper room on top skies. He put him skies on top earth. He call water of the sea, and pour them for land as rain. Na YAHWEH be him name.

⁷ Na wetin God talk be this: "Israel una be like Ethiopians to me. I bring una commot for Egypt land, the Philistine commot for Caphtor, and Arameans commot for Kir."

⁸ The LORD God dey watch this sinful kingdom. God talk say, "I go wipe off Israel commot for face of the earth, but I no go destroy family of Jacob completely.

⁹ I dey give the command to scatter people of Israel among all nation. But e go be like someone wey dey filter flour. Person wey dey shake flour for sieve. The good flour go fall through but he go catch the bad one.

¹³ God talk say, "Time of great blessing dey come. Workers go still dey harvest when dem suppose dey plough the land again, dem go still dey trample the grape, when e suppose be time for new crop. Sweet wine go drop from the mountain and go pour from hill.

¹⁴ I go bring my people, Israel, back from captive. Them go rebuild their city wey don destroy, and dem go live for there. Dem go plant vineyard and go drink the wine wey dem produce. Dem go plant gardens and go chop the crops wey dem produce.

¹⁵ I go plant my people for their land, and dem no go ever pull dem commot for the land wey I give them again." Na wetin the LORD una God talk be this.
