1 PAULU, onde Kristi Jesu, ati Timotiu arakunrin wa, si Filemoni olufẹ ati alabaṣiṣẹ wa ọwọn,

1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

2 Ati si Affia arabinrin wa, ati si Arkippu ọmọ-ogun ẹgbẹ wa, ati si ìjọ inu ile rẹ:

2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:

3 Ore-ọfẹ, ati alafia sí nyin, lati ọdọ Ọlọrun Baba wa, ati Jesu Kristi Oluwa.

3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4 Emi ndupẹ lọwọ Ọlọrun mi nigbagbogbo, emi nṣe iranti rẹ ninu adura mi,

4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

5 Bi mo ti ngbọ́ ti ifẹ rẹ ati igbagbọ́ ti iwọ ni si Jesu Oluwa, ati si gbogbo awọn enia mimọ́;

5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

6 Ki idapọ igbagbọ́ rẹ le lagbara, ni imọ ohun rere gbogbo ti mbẹ ninu nyin si Kristi.

6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

7 Emi sá ni ayọ̀ pupọ ati itunu nitori ifẹ rẹ, nitoriti a tù ọkàn awọn enia mimọ́ lara lati ọwọ́ rẹ wá, arakunrin.

7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

8 Nitorina, bi mo tilẹ ni igboiya pupọ̀ ninu Kristi lati paṣẹ ohun ti o yẹ fun ọ,

8 Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,

9 Ṣugbọn nitori ifẹ emi kuku bẹ̀bẹ, iru ẹni bi emi Paulu arugbo, ati nisisiyi ondè Kristi Jesu pẹlu.

9 Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

10 Emi bẹ̀ ọ fun ọmọ mi, ti mo bí ninu ìde mi, Onesimu:

10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

11 Nigbakan rí ẹniti o jẹ alailere fun ọ, ṣugbọn nisisiyi o lere fun ọ ati fun mi:

11 Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:

12 Ẹniti mo rán pada, ani on tikalarẹ̀, eyini ni olufẹ mi:

12 Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:

13 Ẹniti emi iba fẹ daduro pẹlu mi, ki o le mã ṣe iranṣẹ fun mi nipo rẹ ninu ìde ihinrere:

13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

14 Ṣugbọn li aimọ̀ inu rẹ emi kò fẹ ṣe ohun kan; ki ore rẹ ki o má ba dabi afiyanjuṣe, bikoṣe tifẹtifẹ.

14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

15 Nitori boya idi rẹ̀ li eyi ti o fi kuro lọdọ rẹ fun igba diẹ, ki iwọ ki o ba le ni i titi lai;

15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

16 Kì iṣe bi ẹrú mọ, ṣugbọn o jù ẹrú lọ, arakunrin olufẹ, papa fun mi, melomelo jubẹ̃lọ fun ọ, nipa ti ara ati nipa ti Oluwa.

16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

17 Nitorina bi iwọ ba kà mi si ẹlẹgbẹ rẹ, gbà a bi emi tikarami.

17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

18 Ṣugbọn bi o ba ti ṣẹ̀ ọ rara, tabi ti o jẹ ọ nigbese kan, kà a si mi lọrùn.

18 If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;

19 Emi Paulu li o fi ọwọ́ ara mi kọ ọ, emi ó san a pada: ki emi má sọ fun ọ, bi o ti jẹ mi nigbese ara rẹ pẹlu.

19 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

20 Nitõtọ, arakunrin, jẹ ki emi ki o ni ayọ̀ rẹ ninu Oluwa: tù ọkan mi lara ninu Kristi.

20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

21 Bi mo ti ni igbẹkẹle ni igbọràn rẹ ni mo fi kọwe si ọ: nitori mo mọ̀ pe, iwọ ó tilẹ ṣe jù bi mo ti wi lọ.

21 Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

22 Ati pẹlu, pese ìbuwọ̀ silẹ dè mi; nitori mo gbẹkẹle pe nipa adura nyin, a ó fi mi fun nyin.

22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

23 Epafra, ondè ẹlẹgbẹ mi ninu Kristi Jesu kí ọ;

23 There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;

24 Marku, Aristarku, Dema, Luku, awọn olubaṣiṣẹ mi kí ọ pẹlu.

24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.

25 Ore-ọfẹ Jesu Kristi Oluwa wa ki o wà pẹlu ẹmí nyin. Amin.

25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
