1 AJỌ ọdun aiwukara ti a npè ni Irekọja si kù fẹfẹ.

1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.

2 Ati awọn olori alufa, ati awọn akọwe nwá ọ̀na bi nwọn iba ti ṣe pa a; nitoriti nwọn mbẹ̀ru awọn enia.

2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.

3 Satani si wọ̀ inu Judasi, ti a npè ni Iskariotu, ọkan ninu awọn mejila.

3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.

4 O si mu ọ̀na rẹ̀ pọ̀n, o lọ lati ba awọn olori alufa ati awọn olori ẹṣọ́ mọ̀ ọ pọ̀, bi on iba ti fi i le wọn lọwọ.

4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

5 Nwọn si yọ̀, nwọn si ba a da majẹmu ati fun u li owo.

5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.

6 O si gbà: o si nwá akoko ti o wọ̀, lati fi i le wọn lọwọ laìsi ariwo.

6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

7 Ọjọ aiwukara pé, nigbati nwọn kò le ṣe aiṣẹbọ irekọja.

7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.

8 O si rán Peteru on Johanu, wipe, Ẹ lọ ipèse irekọja fun wa, ki awa ki o jẹ.

8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.

9 Nwọn si wi fun u pe, Nibo ni iwọ nfẹ ki a pèse sile?

9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?

10 O si wi fun wọn pe, Kiyesi i, nigbati ẹnyin ba nwọ̀ ilu lọ, ọkunrin kan ti o rù iṣa omi yio pade nyin; ẹ ba a lọ si ile ti o ba wọ̀.

10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.

11 Ki ẹ si wi fun bãle ile na pe, Olukọni wi fun ọ pe, Nibo ni gbọ̀ngan apejẹ na gbé wà, nibiti emi o gbé jẹ irekọja pẹlu awọn ọmọ-ẹhin mi?

11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

12 On o si fi gbọ̀ngan nla kan loke hàn nyin, ti a ṣe lọṣọ: nibẹ̀ ni ki ẹnyin ki o pèse silẹ.

12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

13 Nwọn si lọ nwọn si bá a gẹgẹ bi o ti sọ fun wọn: nwọn si pèse irekọja silẹ.

13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

14 Nigbati akokò si to, o joko ati awọn aposteli pẹlu rẹ̀.

14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

15 O si wi fun wọn pe, Tinu-tinu li emi fẹ fi ba nyin jẹ irekọja yi, ki emi ki o to jìya:

15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:

16 Nitori mo wi fun nyin, Emi kì yio jẹ ninu rẹ̀ mọ́, titi a o fi mú u ṣẹ ni ijọba Ọlọrun.

16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

17 O si gbà ago, nigbati o si ti dupẹ, o wipe, Gbà eyi, ki ẹ si pín i larin ara nyin.

17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:

18 Nitori mo wi fun nyin, Emi kì yio mu ninu eso ajara mọ́, titi ijọba Ọlọrun yio fi de.

18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

19 O si mú akara, nigbati o si ti dupẹ o bu u, o si fifun wọn, o wipe, Eyi li ara mi ti a fifun nyin: ẹ mã ṣe eyi ni iranti mi.

19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

20 Bẹ̃ gẹgẹ lẹhin onjẹ alẹ, o si mu ago, o wipe, Ago yi ni majẹmu titun li ẹ̀jẹ mi, ti a ta silẹ fun nyin.

20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

21 Ṣugbọn ẹ kiyesi i, ọwọ́ ẹniti o fi mi hàn wà pẹlu mi lori tabili.

21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

22 Ọmọ-enia nlọ nitõtọ bi a ti pinnu rẹ̀: ṣugbọn egbé ni fun ọkunrin na nipasẹ ẹniti a gbé ti fi i hàn!

22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!

23 Nwọn si bẹ̀rẹ si ibère larin ara wọn, tani ninu wọn ti yio ṣe nkan yi.

23 And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.

24 Ijà kan si mbẹ larin wọn, niti ẹniti a kà si olori ninu wọn.

24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.

25 O si wi fun wọn pe, Awọn ọba Keferi a ma fẹla lori wọn: a si ma pè awọn alaṣẹ wọn ni olõre.

25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.

27 Nitori tali o pọ̀ju, ẹniti o joko tì onjẹ, tabi ẹniti o nṣe iranṣẹ? ẹniti o joko tì onjẹ ha kọ́? ṣugbọn emi mbẹ larin nyin bi ẹniti nṣe iranṣẹ.

27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

28 Ẹnyin li awọn ti o ti duro tì mi ninu idanwo mi.

28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.

29 Mo si yàn ijọba fun nyin, gẹgẹ bi Baba mi ti yàn fun mi;

30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

31 Oluwa si wipe, Simoni, Simoni, sawõ, Satani fẹ lati ni ọ, ki o le kù ọ bi alikama:

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

33 O si wi fun u pe, Oluwa, mo mura tan lati bá ọ lọ sinu tubu, ati si ikú.

33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.

34 O si wipe, Mo wi fun ọ, Peteru, akukọ ki yio kọ loni ti iwọ o fi sẹ́ mi li ẹrinmẹta pe, iwọ kò mọ̀ mi.

34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

35 O si wi fun wọn pe, Nigbati mo rán nyin lọ laini asuwọn, ati àpo, ati bàta, ọdá ohun kan da nyin bi? Nwọn si wipe, Rara o.

35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

36 Nigbana li o wi fun wọn pe, Ṣugbọn nisisiyi, ẹniti o ba li asuwọn, ki o mu u, ati àpo pẹlu: ẹniti kò ba si ni idà, ki o tà aṣọ rẹ̀, ki o si fi rà kan.

36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

37 Nitori mo wi fun nyin pe, Eyi ti a ti kọwe rẹ̀ kò le ṣe ki o má ṣẹ lara mi, A si kà a mọ awọn arufin. Nitori ohun wọnni nipa ti emi o li opin.

37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.

38 Nwọn si wipe, Oluwa, sawõ, idà meji mbẹ nihinyi. O si wi fun wọn pe, O to.

38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

39 O si jade, o si lọ bi iṣe rẹ̀ si òke Olifi; awọn ọmọ-ẹhin rẹ̀ si tọ̀ ọ lẹhin.

39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

40 Nigbati o wà nibẹ̀, o wi fun wọn pe, Ẹ mã gbadura, ki ẹnyin ki o máṣe bọ sinu idẹwò.

40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

41 O si fi wọn silẹ niwọn isọko kan, o si kunlẹ o si ngbadura,

41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

42 Wipe, Baba, bi iwọ ba fẹ, gbà ago yi lọwọ mi: ṣugbọn ifẹ ti emi kọ́, bikoṣe tirẹ ni ki a ṣe.

42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

43 Angẹli kan si yọ si i lati ọrun wá, o ngbà a ni iyanju.

43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

44 Bi o si ti wà ni iwaya-ija o ngbadura si i kikankikan: õgùn rẹ̀ si dabi iro ẹ̀jẹ nla, o nkán silẹ.

44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

45 Nigbati o si dide kuro ni ibi adura, ti o si tọ̀ awọn ọmọ-ẹhin rẹ̀ wá, o ba wọn, nwọn nsùn fun ibanujẹ,

45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

46 O si wi fun wọn pe, Kili ẹnyin nsùn si? ẹ dide, ẹ mã gbadura, ki ẹnyin ki o máṣe bọ́ sinu idẹwò.

46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

48 Jesu si wi fun u pe, Judasi, iwọ fi ifẹnukonu fi Ọmọ-enia hàn?

48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

49 Nigbati awọn ti o wà lọdọ rẹ̀ ri bi yio ti jasi, nwọn bi i pe, Oluwa, ki awa ki o fi idà ṣá wọn?

49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

50 Ọkan ninu wọn si fi idà ṣá ọmọ-ọdọ olori alufa, o si ke etí ọtún rẹ̀ sọnù.

50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

51 Ṣugbọn Jesu dahùn o wipe, Ẹ jọwọ rẹ̀ bayi na. O si fi ọwọ́ tọ́ ọ li etí, o si wò o sàn.

51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?

53 Nigbati emi wà pẹlu nyin lojojumọ ni tẹmpili, ẹnyin ko nà ọwọ́ mu mi: ṣugbọn akokò ti nyin li eyi, ati agbara òkunkun.

53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

54 Nwọn si gbá a mu, nwọn si fà a lọ, nwọn si mu u wá si ile olori alufa. Ṣugbọn Peteru tọ̀ ọ lẹhin li òkere.

54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.

55 Nigbati nwọn si ti dana larin gbọ̀ngan, ti nwọn si joko pọ̀, Peteru joko larin wọn.

55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.

59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.

60 Ṣugbọn Peteru wipe, ọkunrin yi, emi kò mọ̀ ohun ti iwọ nwi. Lojukanna, bi o ti nwi li ẹnu, akukọ kọ.

61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

62 Peteru si bọ si ode, o sọkun kikorò.

62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

63 Awọn ọkunrin ti nwọn mu Jesu, si fi i ṣe ẹlẹyà, nwọn lù u.

65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.

71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
