1 O si pa owe kan fun wọn nitori eyiyi pe, o yẹ ki a mã gbadura nigbagbogbo, ki a má si ṣãrẹ̀;
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Wipe, Onidajọ́ kan wà ni ilu kan, ti kò bẹ̀ru Ọlọrun, ti kò si ṣe ojusaju enia:
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 Opó kan si wà ni ilu na; o si ntọ̀ ọ wá, wipe, Gbẹsan mi lara ọtá mi.
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 Kò si ṣu si i nigba sã kan: ṣugbọn nikẹhin o wi ninu ara rẹ̀ pe, Bi emi kò tilẹ bẹ̀ru Ọlọrun, ti emi ko si ṣe ojuṣãju enia;
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Ṣugbọn nitoriti opó yi nyọ mi lẹnu, emi o gbẹsan rẹ̀, ki o má ba fi wíwa rẹ̀ nigbakugba da mi lagãra.
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 Oluwa si wipe, Ẹ gbọ́ bi alaiṣõtọ onidajọ ti wi.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 Ọlọrun kì yio ha si gbẹsan awọn ayanfẹ rẹ̀, ti nfi ọsán ati oru kigbe pè e, ti o si mu suru fun wọn?
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 Mo wi fun nyin, yio gbẹsan wọn kánkán. Ṣugbọn nigbati Ọmọ-enia ba de yio ha ri igbagbọ́ li aiye?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
9 O si pa owe yi fun awọn kan ti nwọn gbẹkẹle ara wọn pe, awọn li olododo, ti nwọn si ngàn awọn ẹlomiran:
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Pe, Awọn ọkunrin meji goke lọ si tẹmpili lati gbadura; ọkan jẹ Farisi, ekeji si jẹ agbowode.
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 Eyi Farisi dide, o si ngbadura ninu ara rẹ̀ bayi pe, Ọlọrun, mo dupẹ lọwọ rẹ, nitoriti emi kò ri bi awọn ara iyokù, awọn alọnilọwọgba, alaiṣõtọ, panṣaga, tabi emi kò tilẹ ri bi agbowode yi.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 Emi ngbàwẹ li ẹrinmeji li ọ̀sẹ, mo nsan idamẹwa ohun gbogbo ti mo ni.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 Ṣugbọn agbowode duro li òkere, kò tilẹ jẹ gbé oju rẹ̀ soke ọrun, ṣugbọn o lù ara rẹ̀ li õkan-àiya, o wipe, Ọlọrun ṣãnu fun mi, emi ẹlẹṣẹ.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 Mo wi fun nyin, ọkunrin yi sọkalẹ lọ si ile rẹ̀ ni idalare jù ekeji lọ: nitori ẹnikẹni ti o ba gbé ara rẹ̀ ga, on li a o rẹ̀ silẹ; ẹniti o ba si rẹ̀ ara rẹ̀ silẹ on li a o gbéga.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
15 Nwọn si gbé awọn ọmọ-ọwọ tọ̀ ọ wá pẹlu, ki o le fi ọwọ́ le wọn; ṣugbọn nigbati awọn ọmọ-ẹhin rẹ̀ ri i, nwọn mba wọn wi.
15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16 Ṣugbọn Jesu pè wọn sọdọ rẹ̀, o si wipe, Ẹ jẹ ki awọn ọmọ kekere wá sọdọ mi, ẹ má si ṣe da wọn lẹkun: nitoriti irú wọn ni ijọba Ọlọrun.
16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin, Ẹnikẹni ti kò ba gbà ijọba Ọlọrun bi ọmọ kekere, kì yio wọ̀ inu rẹ̀ bi o ti wù ki o ri.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
18 Ijoye kan si bère lọwọ rẹ̀, wipe, Olukọni rere, kili emi o ṣe ti emi o fi jogún iye ainipẹkun?
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 Jesu si wi fun u pe, Ẽṣe ti iwọ fi npè mi li ẹni rere? ẹni rere kan kò si, bikoṣe ẹnikan, eyini li Ọlọrun.
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
20 Iwọ mọ̀ ofin wọnni, Máṣe ṣe panṣaga, máṣe pania, máṣe jale, máṣe jẹri eke, bọ̀wọ fun baba on iya rẹ.
20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
21 O si wipe, Gbogbo nkan wọnyi li emi ti pamọ lati igba ewe mi wá.
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
22 Nigbati Jesu si gbọ́ eyi, o wi fun u pe, Ohun kan li o kù fun ọ sibẹ: lọ ità ohun gbogbo ti o ni, ki o si pín i fun awọn talakà, iwọ o si ni iṣura li ọrun: si wá, ki o mã tọ̀ mi lẹhin.
22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 Nigbati o si gbọ́ eyi, inu rẹ̀ bajẹ gidigidi: nitoriti o li ọrọ̀ pipo.
23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 Nigbati Jesu ri i pe, inu rẹ̀ bajẹ gidigidi, o ni, Yio ti ṣoro to fun awọn ti o li ọrọ̀ lati wọ̀ ijọba Ọlọrun!
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 Nitori o rọrun fun ibakasiẹ lati gbà oju abẹrẹ wọle, jù fun ọlọrọ̀ lati wọ̀ ijọba Ọlọrun lọ.
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 Awọn ti o si gbọ́ wipe, Njẹ tali o ha le là?
26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
27 O si wipe, Ohun ti o ṣoro lọdọ enia, kò ṣoro lọdọ Ọlọrun.
27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
28 Peteru si wipe, Sawõ, awa ti fi tiwa silẹ, a si tọ̀ ọ lẹhin.
28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
29 O si wi fun wọn pe, Lõtọ ni mo wi fun nyin, Kò si ẹniti o fi ile, tabi aya, tabi ará, tabi õbi, tabi ọmọ silẹ, nitori ijọba Ọlọrun,
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
30 Ti kì yio gba ilọpo pipọ si i li aiye yi, ati li aiye ti mbọ̀ ìye ainipẹkun.
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
31 Nigbana li o pè awọn mejila sọdọ rẹ̀, o si wi fun wọn pe, Sawõ, awa ngòke lọ si Jerusalemu, a o si mu ohun gbogbo ṣẹ, ti a ti kọ lati ọwọ́ awọn woli wá, nitori Ọmọ-enia.
31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 Nitori a o fi i le awọn Keferi lọwọ, a o fi i ṣe ẹlẹyà, a o si fi i ṣe ẹsin, a o si tutọ́ si i lara:
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
33 Nwọn o si nà a, nwọn o si pa a: ni ijọ kẹta yio si jinde.
33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.
34 Ọkan ninu nkan wọnyi kò si yé wọn: ọ̀rọ yi si pamọ́ fun wọn, bẹ̃ni nwọn ko si mọ̀ ohun ti a wi.
34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
35 O si ṣe, bi on ti sunmọ Jeriko, afọju kan joko lẹba ọ̀na o nṣagbe:
35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36 Nigbati o gbọ́ ti ọpọ́ enia nkọja lọ, o bère pe, kili ã le mọ̀ eyi si.
36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37 Nwọn si wi fun u pe, Jesu ti Nasareti li o nkọja lọ.
37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
38 O si kigbe pe, Jesu, iwọ Ọmọ Dafidi, ṣãnu fun mi.
38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
39 Awọn ti nlọ niwaju ba a wi pe, ki o pa ẹnu rẹ̀ mọ́: ṣugbọn on si kigbe si i kunkun pe, Iwọ Ọmọ Dafidi, ṣãnu fun mi.
39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
40 Jesu si dẹṣẹ duro, o ni, ki a mu u tọ̀ on wá: nigbati o si sunmọ ọ, o bi i,
40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41 Wipe, Kini iwọ nfẹ ti emi iba ṣe fun o? O si wipe, Oluwa, ki emi ki o le riran.
41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 Jesu si wi fun u pe, Riran: igbagbọ́ rẹ gbà ọ là.
42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 Lojukanna o si riran, o si ntọ̀ ọ lẹhin, o nyìn Ọlọrun logo: ati gbogbo enia nigbati nwọn ri i, nwọn fi iyìn fun Ọlọrun.
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
